Add a can of beans - any sort is OK. You can use ketchup in place of tomatoes, plenty of fried up onions, garlic and mushrooms. All of those make a tasty mix.

Do you have any canned tomatoes or tomato paste, sauce or juice???? It doesn't have to be stewed tomatoes if you have onions, green peppers to add.
I don't ever use a mix. Plenty of onions use pork and beans or pinto beans instead of kidney beans.

Do you have tomato soup??? If you have lots and lots of cherry tomatoes that will work in a pinch!!
Do you have Fritos??? You could make a faux frito pie with your faux chili!!!
Serve the chili (which should be rather thick) over the fritos and garnish with cheese and sour cream!! YUMMY!!!

How about making something else with that hamburger????
How about this??
Brown hamburger with some onions. Add 1 can pork and beans. Then add BBQ sauce-how much you ask till it looks like sloppy joes. Then B4 serving top with American/Cheddar cheese (or whatever you have) Cover until cheese melts.
This is pretty tasty.
Since I garden I always have lots of tomato stuff and just lots of food in genera on hand. I could probably feed a dozen people without a problem-granted they might not all eat the same thing but always lots of stuff on hand.

I'd say if you cut the cherry tomatoes in half and dump those in, you'd be fine there. I also recommend adding ketchup. It's all how tomatoey you like your chili.

If you have any spaghetti sauce that's not too strongly flavored that could work as well.
