Hi All,
I haven't been here in a week due to my mum's somewhat unexpected passing last Tuesday very early a.m...

For those of you who knew, my mum was very recently diagnosed with advanced Cancer only a short 3 months ago.
She fought bravely until the end when her body finally gave up. She was only taken back into hospital that very day as she deteriorated quickly within a few short days. She was a very active woman and it pained her to exist within the confines of the disease. I am relieved that she is now in a far better place. She was a super mom and an amazing woman and I will miss her.

I just wanted to thank you all so much for your compassion here at TCS. Your support was kindly appreciated at a much needed time and it did not go unnoticed.

Thanks and I wish you all good health and happiness...

Cheers
Cin

Oh, Cin,
... How I wish that we could be sharing a good cry & hugs in person. I do remember that your mother was ill. My best friend's father passed away on Thurs., from cancer, and I am relieved that they are pain-free now, and our cats on the other side of RB have come bounding over to greet them for us, but it is soooo, sooo hard to be left behind. I dread the day that my mother leaves us; although I have lost a premature baby, a nephew & a brother, I instinctively know that your mother's loss is an incredible impact on your life.
Your courage & incredibly brave spirit are a testimony to the wonderful mother that she was...Condolences to your entire family, and JC sends one of his "master purr-box specials" especially for you. When I come home from work tonight, I will light a candle in the window in honor of your mother. Hugs, Susan

My condolences. This sounds so much like my Aunt Diana who passed 4 weeks after her diagnoses of cancer (2003).

Sorry to hear of your Mum's passing, Cin. I remember your posts when she was diagnosed, when she came home, and when you were considering a kitty for her, and felt your love for her. You will miss her greatly, but I'm sure are grateful that she did not have to suffer too long. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you journey on without her presence, but with wonderful memories. Be gentle with yourself.

Oh my goodness Cin
. I am so sorry for you and your family's loss.

It is comforting to know that she is not in any more pain, though I know that could never replace the fact that you've lost your mother
. It is never fair when it happens so very suddenly like this. You'll be in my prayers during this difficult time. I grieve for you, my friend.

Thanks all! Yes, Fran. We were going to go ahead with the kitten but by that time (only a couple of weeks later), she said she thought it was a bad idea as she was getting too ill to take care of it.

Her previous cats were mentioned in her obituary though. And her charity to donate to was The Humane Society.

If anyone wants to read it, they can do so here:

Oh cin...I am so very sorry. Losing your Mom has to be oneof the hardest things to deal with. I don`t even want to think about the time I may have to face that loss.
I pray that the memories you have of her in better times will help to ease the pain over these next months to come.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

What a beautiful tribute to your mother Cindy
. Though it ended too soon, she had an amazing life and it looks like she got to see so many things.

"Her blunt wit and amazing charm compelled most she met to fall in love with her very nature."
After reading her obituary, it's easy to see why.

Thanks so much, Amy...I wrote that little bit
as I thought it summed up her character so well. I just hope I can grow into the same person she was. My sister and I both wrote the obituary together over a few long days..Its one of the hardest things I had to do, but a bit therapeutic as well.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Although it is tragic that this has happened so fast, at least she in now free of the pain. What an absolutely lovely tribute that is.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
