Hi! Nice to be here..:)

I'm a first time cat owner as I was always scared of them when I was a kid (our neighbor's cat ventured into our house and scratched my leg for stepping in her way!) But when my persian was given to me as a gift from my dad, she was the most sweetest and harmless thing I have ever met.

I was always used to having dogs but now that I am living with my husband, my cat is the only companion I have when he's not around.

I was wondering if someone could enlighten me? My persian was shaved when she was given to me as the normal practice of the breeder. Her hair isn't that long although she's very fond of being brushed. How long does it take for their hair to grow long? I'm excited to see all pretty and fluffy.

My cat's name is Smokee, she was laready named when I got her but I call her Mowks or Mokee, she responds more to those names.

Speaking about color, I'm not sure if she really is a tabby, her colors are wisps of:
- Black / dark brown
- Red orange
- Small Grayish white and cream parts

What type of the persian breed is she?
