I love the pieces made locally by Salt Marsh Pottery ( www.saltmarshpottery.com ) They can be very pricey and I have gotten a few pieces for a good deal.

I have been collecting glass milk bottles from the dairy my father used to work at (yes, he was a door to door milkman
) Finding some of these on EBAY has been priceless to me.

The more extravagant items I've won are a Gucci handbag, a 1ctw Diamond w/white gold ring, and most recently a Movado stainless steel watch. Each item was under $200, and the retail cost of each of those items would be at least four times the amount! A total score!!!

I LOVE EBAY!!!

Tell me your eBay stories!
Uh oh... having expensive taste and loving ebay could emtpy your wallet!
I only have a feedback of 17 in 6 years, so I 've managed not to go overboard. My favorite auction win is actually my last one for a brand new Seiko Flightmaster watch. It is sooooooooo nice and I got a really good deal on it. I also got some stuff that I just couldn't buy in Canada, such as a radar device for bat speed and some old arcade boards.

OK I admit it... I am a ebayaholic... my mailman hates me because he has to lug around my packages all day knowing I am not there to take it and when I am he generally throws them at me

I buy most of my scrapbooking supplies on ebay - way cheaper than anywhere around here even with shipping, some clothes and other random things I see that I suddenly 'need'

I get expensive things and unique things from ebay--like handbags and most recently, cat clothes. I almost always check ebay for a better deal when I'm buying something big like a T.V. or camera. I used to buy from there a lot more, but when more companies started going on-line, my addiction shifted. So now I shop on at least 1 store's website a day. It really convenient because before all the stores got on-line, I had to go to Dallas to get any good shopping (which I still do on Shopurdays). People always ask me how I know things will fit, match, or be what I want--but I guess I'm just lucky because I've never had to send anything back. My mail lady and ups lady are really, really nice about it! The fed ex guy is eh.

I was an ebayaholic for a while, but I had to stop. I was going broke buying My Little Ponies on Ebay. Usually you don't "score" when you buy collectables like that. Those ponies that once cost $5 new in a store, were costing me $30 to $50 each and I was buying 3 to 6 a week.

I haven't bought anything on ebay for a while. I bought a bunch of watering cans-but you really have to watch shipping fees on some items.
I would like to sell some stuff (plants) on ebay-that is yet another "project".
I agree that ebay can be VERY ADDICTING!!!!

I buys whole bunch of my components for jewelry making on ebay, and I am happy to say that I have sold ONE necklace on there so far. I need to get more of my stuff for sale on there, as it's a pretty good place to sell, if you time it right.

Anyhoo, wanna see my ebay "About me" page?? My user name is....ta da....blueberrybeth! I am so creative huh??

I LOVE making jewelry...you name it, I can probably make it!

Someone mentioned shipping fees... I think sometimes they can be a bit outrageous. There is only one time I payed an extreme amount on shipping, and it was a gift I couldn't get here in Canada. That's what I like most about eBay -- there are so many things I can buy there I can't purchase in stores here. I've found the UK's equivalent to Jacob, my favourite Canadian store. It's called Boden, and their clothes are classic yet a tad daring.

Ebay is dangerous. But I was recently turned onto buy perfume and beauty products there. It's really nice to get a good deal on stuff I buy anyway. Of course that turned into look at the abstract paintings which I have a soft spot for. I have contained myself thus far but we'll see how long that will last. I also collect some glassware that I have from time to time picked up on ebay.

Wouldn't it be odd if we've actually purchased things from each other and not known it?

-to see how fast I am swinging the bat. It's a great tool to troubleshoot my swing and have a reference for improvment. Some golfers use them too.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... well count me as moronic too. I had no idea you thought I was talking about "bats" as living creatures.
I'm glad we cleared that up. Otherwise, you'd think that I have a weird bat watching hobby or something.

We got the flat screen monitor I'm using now for a really good price. I was also able to get a vanmark figurine statue thing that my mother hadn't been able to find, then when we found a company who 'specializes' in finding things they took months, and it arrived broken! We ended up paying wayyy less too because it came without a box. We're not collectors but it was a jet engine mechanic in the military, which my stepfather was at the time, so it was more sentimental.
