Hello

I am currently thinking of getting an exotic cat as a pet. I am in no rush however and will do my research.. DOes anyone have any experience with them?? If i did get one im guessing an adult would be better since i know what its temperment would be like.

Talk to amberthebobcat... he has three bobcats and a couger. Two of the bobcats live n his house. To read his website, go to "fur pictures only" and fing say hello to boris part two. When you are in that, find his name and click on the links under his signature.

Hello

Oh god no i do not want a wild cat or a cougar. I would not mind having a cat that is a lil more on the wild side (for example very strong prey drive) But I want this cat to be able to walk around the house and interact with my cat and dog and other family members. Want it to be perfectly litter trained as well. I never really thought real wild cats can live in someones house without being de clawed or de fanged (something i will never do) But from what i hear there are VERY good breeders out there these days that actually train their cats to use posts to strach on. I guess what im looking for is an adult cat with wild traits but stilll be classified as a domestic (chausies bangels, safannahs) something that can make a really good house pet. I think getting a kitten is totallly out of the question for me because I do not know what it will end up being like. thnx guys

You might try looking at some breeder websites for bengals, chausies or savannahs. Often breeders need to retire their adults and are looking for good quality homes for them. Most will advertise this fact on their sites. These cats will be anywhere from 2 to 6 years old and you'll be able to get a pretty good idea what their personalities are like.

That's right man. When raised right, wild cats, or as john prefers "exotic" cats, can make wonderful pets. You really should check out that website i gave you, even if you don't want one. It is great to learn about.
