This may sound silly, but I've made Sloppy Joes like once. Now I have to make them for 30. I have no idea how much meat and stuff to use - like maybe 8 pounds of ground beef? Do you think it would fit in one crock pot? Jeez, why didn't they assign me the cheese dip? LOL.

Hmmmm I would figure that you get 5 hamburg patties per pound. So 8 pounds would equal 40 servings. Probably more with the sauce added. I would say 8 pounds on the hamburg would be fine. I think it would fit in a crock pot if its a good sized one.. Good Luck..

So maybe even 7 pounds. Now I just have to figure out the sauce!

Do it the easy way buy the cans of manwich (sp)sauce all you have to do is fry up the hamburg and pour in the cans of sauce..I think its one can per 1 pound of hamburg. It tells on the can..
