I called my vet yesterday and told them about my kittens fleas. And he said to give him a flea bath so i did that. Today I noticed fleas still on them, so i called again and he said to give them flea medication.. Did that and tonight they are still there. Anyone got any advice.. I have to keep them in crates tonight because I do not want my other kitties to get fleas

How do you flea treat your carpets?????

You may have fleas all over the house, where they would have hung out before the flea bath...They could be recatching the fleas from those locations....

You will probably need to give your house a good one over......If this doesnt work I would ask you vet if he can perscribe a different medicine....But definitly clean everything, and wash or theow away anything cloth like that they would have been on.....

Good luck

Now i had tubes of the 5-15 lb revolution. Since these kitties are still small i put half of the tube on one and the other half on the other. do you think that is enough or should i of put the whole tub on.. 4 of them are 12 wks old...

I wouldn't think at twelve weeks they weigh 5 pounds yet. To be safe I would not put any more on them.. See how the fleas are in 24 hours.. If there not gone then I would go ahead and put the other tube on half for each. But probably this will be enough...

You did just give them a bath today also? This topical flea treatment works best. When the cats have a little oil in their fur it helps spread it. it says to apply a couple of days after a bath.Just for future references don't bathe and apply the same day. In this case theres not much else you can do. the vet did tell you to give them a bath.. It still should work..

I think this is the right place to ask this if not you can move it

See my kitties have fleas so I have them locked up in a crate with food, water, and litter you think they will be ok for a few days like that until i know the fleas are gone i dont want to give my other kitties fleas...

I just feel bad cuz there in a crate...

Putting them in a crate is not going to stop fleas from spreading. Please take them out. If you flea-treated them properly the fleas are dying off and crating is totally unneccessary

Are you flea treating these kittens without a vet's okay? And giving them a flea bath? If you use something safe from your vet for your kittens, he would tell you the exact dose to use and which kind to use. They have kitten safe advantage. Guessing how much to use can throw these kittens into toxic shock. Giving them a flea bath will diminish the good Advantage or Frontline does. If you are bathing them in an over the counter product, you could be harming them instead of helping them. Please call the vet in the morning, list everything you have done, what products you used.

Fleas cannot be crated. These fleas are abandoning ship and scrambling before they die. You can keep these poor kittens in a crate if you want, but you can't contain the fleas in the same crate. They are looking for other furry live hosts because they know their time is up on these kittens. I posted in your other thread because you have me worried. I think you are overdoing the flea control and hope to God I am wrong to worry.
