My upper arms are in a lot of pain from going through the process of moving, and Tylenol 1's are not cutting it, so I'm on my way to the ER. Not to mention I have to take Seroquel for my BD, and it makes me tired and moving my limbs can be difficult hence more pain. Packing is becoming unbearable and I have to move in a week.
Please send out as many get well soon vibes as you can to me. I don't ask for much, but it would mean a lot as I know how well the board vibes work. Thanks.

Feel better soon! And PLEASE call all your friends and family for some help. You should not have to do this alone! If only all the TCSers lived nearby. We could each pack one box, and you would be done!

Oh no Jenn! I'm glad you're going to the ER and not waiting for it to go away on it's own. I hope they are able to help you and that your arms get to feeling better ASAP! {{{{{}}}}}

Yep I'm glad you're going to the doctor too. Once when I had severe pain in my arms it was because I'd slipped a disk in my back. Be careful and keep us posted! We will all be thinking about you.

And yes get someone to help with the move!

I hope you don't have to wait too long in the ER (are there no close walk in clinics?) and make sure they do a good workup so you will know whether it is your arms or pain caused by some other problem - like a pulled muscle or spine issue.

I hope you feel better soon!! Try to get lots of rest and sometimes cold or hot compresses are even better than meds (tho they can really only be used while you are awake - at least in the case of heating pads which have been known to cause burns if left on while someone is asleep).

Take care of yourself!!

Thanks so much for those of you who sent good vibes my way.
It really means a lot to me.

I didn't have to spend too much time in the ER, as there were only 3 other patients ahead of me. The Dr. basically moved my arms a bit, talked about the seroquel, and told me all I could do is wait for it to heal and gave me Tylenol 3's and some anti-inflammatories until I see my regular Dr. I'm sorry, but I feel it was totally inadequate service. He didn't address the pain in other areas (back, legs) at all.
What a wonderful health care system we have!

Anyway, so I'll still be drugged out of my tree, trying to pack while knocked on my butt from all these drugs.

CyberKitten - I am going to try hold and cold compresses as you suggested. I too believe this may be a good route to go. Thanks!

How horrid for you, these things always seem to flare up at the worst times too

When will you be able to see your regular doctor?

Awwww good vibes to you! You must be feeling miserable. I take Seroquel, too, for the same thing, and boy does it knock you on your butt! That combined with lots of pain must be making you feel wretched. Lots of hugs and healing thoughts to you
