Posting Photos

Can anyone tell me how do you go about posting photos? I see at the bottom of this page in "Posting Rules" it indicates "You may not post attachments". How do I go about getting this changed so that I can share my little friends with the rest of you?

Thank you very much. I found the link you referred me to not long after I posted this question. All I have to do now is figure out how this IMG function works. I don't know why this has been made so complicated, there is another Pet site which I am connected to and right from the beginning I was able to insert photos directly from my computer. I will work it out.

If you use photobucket to store your photos it automatically generates the IMG code for you for each photo and you just cut and paste.

I can post attachments so it may also be a case of not having enough posts to have the priviledge of attachments, if you see this thread it shows you have to have 100 posts and 30 days membership to be allowed to upload attachments.

In the mean time you can still upload to another hosting site (photobucket, imageshack etc) and link to your attachments.

Remote linking is the better way for us to go, because allowing attached images severely taxes our server. The photos are uploaded onto our server when you attach, and that takes up space. We are a large site, and our members love to share photos. Remote linking helps keep costs down.
