Have you bought your candy yet?
What are you giving out? Whose house am I visiting?

I bought bags of mixed candy so I have a little bit of everything. We have already destroyed one bag and I refuse to open another.

Trick or Treaters ringing my bell have their choice of Snickers (regular, almond or crunchy), Twix, M&M's (peanut and peanut butter), Reeses Peanut Butter cups
, Whoppers
, Heath Bars, Almond Joy
, 100,000 grand
, and leftover Butterfingers and Nestle's Crunch from the open bag.

I am not to be trusted with ANY peanut butter candy.

This is our first year in a neighborhood that does Trick or Treating, so it should be interesting!

Yum, I want to come trick or treating at your house!
I don't get too many trick or treaters at my apartment, so I end up eating a ton of candy the week after Halloween (not good for me, I know
). Hehe, but all your candy sounds wonderful, and I'm exactly the same way about PB, its the best!

We get candy that WE like because the most we have ever gotten at this apartment was 2 girls. Needless to say, they hit the jackpot at my house! LOL

We got a mix bag with Almond Joy (YUK! Those are all Earl's), Hersheys bars, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
, and Kit Kat Bars
. In addition, we got another small bag of the Peanut Butter Cups, and I got a bag of Whoppers. Whoppers are my absolute favorite candy in the whole world, so having the mini-bags is good for me - I'd finish off the whole carton if they aren't separated!

I think that's the most I ever got at my old house!
We had no sidewalks or streetlights, so not many kids were brave enough to go out. The school let the kids go there at night and trick or treat from room to room. The trick the last few years was I bought candy we didn't like so we wouldn't eat it!

This year is our first year here and I bought all good candy because I don't want to be labeled as the house with the gross candy!

I may be able to send a lot of Whoppers to you!

I bought the regualr mixed bags of candy my fav is the one that has all of the "willy wonka" candy in it. I love nerds and laffy taffy!!!!!!!! The kids and I have already finished of one bag and opened the other lol were not gonna be here so its not a big deal.we are going "trunk or treating". Its really neat the city officals and fire station and police station get together and fill car trunks and truck beds full of candy then park at various spots in town and you just go trunk to trunk and fill up your bag last year my daughter ended up with 3 bags of candy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got 6 12paks of soda at Walgreens for only $1 each after the mail in rebate so we're giving out cans of 7Up, Orange Sunkist, or A&W Root Beer this year. I'm on Weight Watchers and I am too afraid of what will happen if there's left over candy in the house!
(I don't like sugar soda...so I'm safe there!)

our first year here the next door neighbor kids threw 5 pumpkins at our glass door before 3 pm-- we had a ton of problems out of them before and since then. we had a couple of kids come that nite but thats it-- the next year we left out a bowl of candy on our porch as we were away at in laws house. We came home to 6 pumpkins smashed on our door, spray painted exterior walls, our candy bowl ( cheap one just used for halloween) had been melted on our front porch with the candy still in it and we had a broken window. Ended up filing police reports that nite. parents admitted it was their kids but we couldn't "prove" it. didnt do halloween at all the next year nor the next year. we wont do it this year either. we go trick or treating on the local air force base since last year ( my son started showing interest last year) its the only safe place to trick or treat here.

How awful! Why do people have to be that way? I hope things go better for you this year, your kids deserve a good Halloween!

I live in an apartment building that's in an area where there are a lot of kids. Some people usually get together with a few bags of candy and sit on the front steps of the building and hand out candy to the kids passing by. Will probably do that myself this year.

The best thing about this time of year, is the candy sales on November 1st, spiced apple cider, shuffling through piles of leaves, and mixing candy corn with salted, dry roasted peanuts.

You can have some of my Almond Joy too!

I had never seen your "Book of Spells". I try not to go into Hallmark too often. I spend too much!

Hahaha! How cute is that! I just went to your link and played the sample Audio. Marlee is laying on my bed taking a nap, and her little head popped up looking around trying to figure out where that laugh was coming from.
