I have a 4 month old (healthy) little kitty. She lives with me at my college apartment where she is my only cat. I am very cautious with her (indoor only) and my friends know when they are in my apartment to be gentle with her. However......
she does NOT like my mom. My mom comes to visit every once a while and yes she does have the scent of my other 3 cats and my labrador on her, Leila hisses and spits and wont let her pat or hold her. Right now, I am at my parents house with Leila for a visit. She is doing well adjusting, she is running around, playing, following my other cats to chase their tails. Still, even in a new environment with new smells, she is still nasty to my mom and I feel real bad about this. How can I begin to stop this behavior? My mom never forces herself on Leila, even putting out her hand to let Leila smell it she will hiss and swat it. Shes not like this to any other people
