The best thing about Leona's? My carnivorous boyfriend can go there and have several options as far as steak and burgers, etc. and I have more than one vegan entree to choose from! Leona's is great because it appeals to the Wrigleyville manly-men and the hippie kids in Boystown an everyone leaves happy
LOVE it!
I really like Leona's a lot too, its great to go with a group cause there's something for everyone. I like their salads and their "make your own pasta"--I usually choose fusilli with pesto, chicken and spinach--and I can easily make 3 meals out of it! Now that we've left Lakeview we haven't been back to one in awhile, but I'm sure we'll make it back soon.

BUT, my favorite restaurant meal is sushi. Any kind of sushi, cause you know I'm not making THAT at home! I can see the headlines now: Young couple and their two cats die of food poisoning from poorly handled raw fish.

It depends on where I am. Over here, I prefer Greek or Turkish restaurants, but when I'm in the U.S., I generally go to Chinese or Mexican restaurants. There aren't any special dishes I always order, though.

I love to eat out so I have quite a few current favorites...

For Italian food, its a toss up between the butternut squash ravioli, fettucini alfredo or the gnocchi's at Cafe Due Rose in Pinole. Their deserts are to die for!

For Mexican food the meatball soup at Gallardo's in the Mission District of San Francisco. Served with rice, homemade tortillas, chopped cilantro, onion and limes. The place is kind of a hole in the wall, but you can see the kitchen from the front counter (clean!) and it is very good.

For Indian it's Navrattan Korma at the Indian Oven in San Francisco. They have the best Naan. Another good place closer to home is Ajanta in Berkeley, there's always a line out the door....but worth the wait.

Where's your favorite sushi place? Sushi has been, by FAR, the single most difficult food for me to give up, period, and don't thell the vegan gods this, but I still sneak a little treat to myself once in a very long while
But I can still have the veggie rolls, veggie tempura, miso, udon soup, etc...I LOVE love love Matsuya which is right out on Clark.

The headlines will read something more like: two young crazy cat ladies and their partners and 4 cats die of food poisoning from poorly handled fish!

I don't really have a favourite restaurant meal as such. I love anything from the Porirua Japanese Thai, I love Cobb & Co's burgers, the curly fries from the hogs breath cafe, the ribs form Lonestar! the creamy chicken dish form Mungavin Blues!

MMMMMMM!

I really love food too much to pick a favorite meal. However, if I had my druthers right now I'd go to Bugatti's Ristorante. It's in the Ameristar Casino, which caused me doubts at first, but the atmosphere is great, the service is wonderful and the food is even better. The meal is started out with a wonderful antipasto platter—pecorino cheese, a sort of olive paste, and other tasty tidbits, served with fresh rolls and bread. From there it only gets better.

Pasta Milano at Macaroni Grill (bowtie pasta, grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms in a roasted garlic cream sauce) - YUM!! It is soooo good!

Also, sushi!!!! - My favorite rolls are rainbow roll (tuna, hamachi, salmon), hamachi mango crunch, dragon roll (with tempura shrimp, eel, and avocado), and flower roll (tuna sashimi around california roll, shaped into flower petals with a bunch of tobiko on top).

I love to eat out and I have many favorites.
I love Red Lobster's Endless Shrimp, especially Shrimp Milano. I don't care for the coconut shrimp though. I love Mexican and love to order fajitas or enchiladas. Italian restuarants my favorites are Eggplant Parmesan or Manicotti. I just love Thai food too!
