First one was just born! Tiny and orange... She had a bit of a time pushing it out, but cleaned it up immediately... It's strong and mews good, is already looking for milk! Everything is going supurb so far!!!
Lori..it is great that they are all doing so well. Given the situation with her other litter...may still be a good idea to have them all checked by a vet.Originally Posted by MommaLori
Ok, Kit has 4 beautiful babies now. The orange tabby, 2 white and 1 black (maybe a really dark tabby looks like stripes on legs.) All seem really healthy, they're crawling all over and eating like crazy... I'm wondering if the litter that died was premature maybe? when they were born they hardly moved at all and didn't mewl like this batch. But they had their eyes open at a normal time... Oh well, I'm just really excited that these babys look so good so far... They are all over the place! It is so different and I'm so glad.
Is it ok to take pics this soon? I'm worried about the flash hurting their eyes and my house has bad lighting to try to take a pic without it....Originally Posted by jennyranson
That is wonderful news! I hope they all grow up as beautiful healthy cats. Can we see pix soon?
This is a very UNplanned pregnancy, and fact is, there are so many strays around they could have different dads (but she only got out for a couple of hours so I don't see that) Momma is a brown and black tabby, and of the males I KNOW around, there are 2 whites (but one is her litter brother so I hope he's not the one), a orange tabby and I think one of the black strays is a male. There are some strays that are siamese looking so I guess the kittens could grow up to be pointed. I can't tell the sex at this age, I haven't had kittens this small (except the ones that passed) since I was a kid.Originally Posted by GoldenKitty45
Is this a planned pregnancy? What color is the mom and dad? If you don't know sex and you know the colors, I can pretty much tell you what they are. One parent has to be white to get all white kittens (unless they will be pointed) - and the white will mask the color, so its harder unless you know what colors the white is carrying.
Glad to hear things are going well.
Hope to see pictures soon!!!Originally Posted by DazeeMazeeGraze
