Ok, Kit has 4 beautiful babies now. The orange tabby, 2 white and 1 black (maybe a really dark tabby looks like stripes on legs.) All seem really healthy, they're crawling all over and eating like crazy... I'm wondering if the litter that died was premature maybe? when they were born they hardly moved at all and didn't mewl like this batch. But they had their eyes open at a normal time... Oh well, I'm just really excited that these babys look so good so far... They are all over the place! It is so different and I'm so glad.

Lori..it is great that they are all doing so well. Given the situation with her other litter...may still be a good idea to have them all checked by a vet.

Is this a planned pregnancy? What color is the mom and dad? If you don't know sex and you know the colors, I can pretty much tell you what they are. One parent has to be white to get all white kittens (unless they will be pointed) - and the white will mask the color, so its harder unless you know what colors the white is carrying.

Glad to hear things are going well.

Is it ok to take pics this soon? I'm worried about the flash hurting their eyes and my house has bad lighting to try to take a pic without it....

This is a very UNplanned pregnancy, and fact is, there are so many strays around they could have different dads (but she only got out for a couple of hours so I don't see that) Momma is a brown and black tabby, and of the males I KNOW around, there are 2 whites (but one is her litter brother so I hope he's not the one), a orange tabby and I think one of the black strays is a male. There are some strays that are siamese looking so I guess the kittens could grow up to be pointed. I can't tell the sex at this age, I haven't had kittens this small (except the ones that passed) since I was a kid.

Kittens are still doing great this morning... eating like crazy, and Kit is loving every minute of it. I will probably go ahead and do a general health checkup, but it will have to wait till payday and hopefully he will be able to tell me the sexes. I have to brag on my vet because normally he is very standoffish, almost seeming rude (but he's GOOD, doesn't charge outrageously, and his office girls make up for him), But on the phone when I was a extremely anxious and probably not speaking too clearly, he was great! very reassuring and comforting...

The black one is a male (I'm fairly sure, from the pics he is VERY much a male), I didn't want to handle them too much all at once... Plus he was the only one not suckling at the time.. My hubby may let me get him neutered and keep him!

I am so glad they are all healthy! Congrats. Keep giving us updates, and pic when possible. Lots of people check on threads without posting, just to keep up on the kits, so keep giving us that news!

Oh I am so glad everybody is ok. I don't know if the flash hurts their eyes, but as soon as you find out if it's safe, I'd LOVE to see pictures. Kittens are just so cute!

Aww, Thanks everyone, it's so good knowing that good wishes are coming our way, By the way -- I'm not positive (except with the black one because he's kinda obvious, he has 2 bumps under his butt already lol) But it looks like we have a male orange tabby, one white male, and one white female! and they all have good homes lined out! (Two are pending on parental permission as they are kids in high school that I work with).. and the black one doesn't have a home yet because I'm HOPING that hubby will let me keep him (I'm a sucker for a black cat)...But I think I could have a home for him quick too lol! They're just beautiful! and I asked their momma if I could see cause she was hiding them in the corner and she instantly got up to let me look! No qualms about me touching them either (I don't much though, I don't know how much truth there is in not touching tiny kittens, but I don't want to cause a problem... I won't say it's not hard though!) Thanks again though, It's so nice to share with people who care! everyone at work is fed up with hearing about them lol.
