I just bought Swheat Scoop litter a few days ago and have it mixed about half and half with Marlee's old litter (TidyCats Small Spaces). I've noticed the past two days, shes started PLAYING in there! Its like she'll kick it up, then try and chase the pieces flying everywhere or something. Sometimes it seems like she sees something in there I don't, but I just now went and sat and looked through the litter for bugs or something, and don't see anything! It wouldn't be a big deal, but shes making a GIANT mess everywhere! Not only is she kicking it out, but since she like rolls around in there, it sticks to her fur and falls all over the room. Plus, shes starting to smell like litter....
Is this normal, and is there anything I can do to deter this?

No tips? I guess if she keeps doing this, I'll go back to another litter after this bag of Swheat Scoop is gone. Think the type of litter is the problem, or is it just Marlee?

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Serenity still thinks the litter box is her own personal playground. She now has her own litter box without any litter in it to play in, which has helped somewhat, but she still loves to play in the litter. You should see her when I scoop..playtime with Mommy, and she has a blast when I change out the litter!

I'm really hoping she'll grow out of this!

Aww! Your kitties are just precious, I love them! I guess thats what Marlee is doing too. Last night I tried putting her another box out (the bottom of her carrier without the enclosing lid) hoping she'd play in that instead, but no luck! This morning, before I had a chance to do my morning scoop, Marlee actually threw some clumped poo out of the box, and she just thought it was hilarious!
Crazy kitty
