My kitten is... a little weird in all areas. He gained two lbs in one month, only lost his bottom baby canine teeth a week ago (still has the top baby canines), is 5 months old... and is a cryptorchid. In fact, we thought he was neutered when we first found him, because there was nothing there when I... er... felt him up.

In the last week or so one of his testes has descended. How long should I wait to see if the other descends so that he can be neutered normally? One of my vets says to wait a month. Is it fairly accurate to say that if it doesn't happen by then, it's not likely to?

Help! >.<

I'm really not sure. We had a dog whose testicles never descended. I would imagine that six months is about right, since that's about the time most male cats become sexually mature.
