Hi! I adopted a kitten from a rescue org. about two months ago, and she has really adjusted to the change. We love her in our family. The only thing that I am concerned with is the smells that come out of her little body. She literally stinks up the room. I switched from Kitten Chow to Iams thinking maybe she just has a sensitive stomach, but it hasn't really decreased. Any Suggestions? Thanks

Has she been to the vet and tested for worms? Abby had that problem when we adopted her and it was a combo of change of diet and worms.

Yes please take in a stool sample I would do it before her spay incase she has coccidia which is a parisite that needs to be treated right away.

I'm sure you and your new freind will have many happy years a head of you.
Thank you for deciding to rescue

Sometimes all it takes is finding the right food - not every kitten/cat is the same and it might very well take one or two more changes. Having the stool sample examined is definately a good thing no matter what. Why not try Nutro, Eukanuba, etc.

Good luck with your baby!!

My Maggie has some nasty gas sometimes too. She just got spayed yesterday & took in a stool sample. I guess I'll find out tonight if anything came up, but I know she was dewormed at the shelter. Sometimes I think she just eats too fast & gulps a lot of air (I may have just made that up in my head, but seems to make sense).

For the most part she doesn't get anything else. Once in a while they get a can of Fancy Feast instead of their night time meal, but th gas doesn't coincide to that. She's been on Nutro Natrual since I got her back in July. Wait, I just thought about something, not that long ago I bought Greenies Cat Treats & the gas seems to have increased since then. I wonder if it's those things.
