blood in urine

Poor Pushkin has crystals! I noticed the other day he was peeing a lot. Then yesterday I noticed the pee in the box was kind of pinkish. By evening there was no doubt about the blood in his urine. So I took him to the vet this morning, and they analysed the pee sample I bought in. (I held an empty film canister under his privates while he went - now that's dedication! )Loads of crystals. I've been reading here about urinary infections and was thinking, "phew, glad my cats don't have that!" Oh well, poor Pushy got some meds and a new diet, and a new vet - we switched to one closer and she's great!
So if anyone's got some spare "get well" pats to send, I'm sure he'll appreciate it!

Both my cats have had this problem. Both of them eat special prescription food from the vet's office and they are doing well. Good luck with your cat.
