My current job is really toxic. I'm so depressed right now that I can barely get out of bed in the morning, but I can't quit 'til I find something else. (Someone has to keep the boys in kibble & litter, heh.)

It feels like I've been papering the town with my resume and nothing's working out, it's really frustrating. I don't really understand why, I'm mature and responsible with some great skills and a very professional resume. I had a great job before I moved here.

I'm going back to college next year to be a nurse, but in the meantime, I want to work as a licensed nursing assistant. (CNA). There are training programs, but there are also sometimes facilities that will train and certify on-site, usually nursing homes. It's not my dream job, but it will let me get my foot in the door with the healthcare field as I prepare myself financially to go back to college in the Spring/Summer of 2006.

So I've been looking for nursing homes in the area that do on-site training and licensing, and there are a few. I need to go out and fill out applications, but before I can do that, I need to get directions from Mapquest, because I'm new in town. I sat down with google and Mapquest and got started, but while I was working I found a link to an article about one of the places that I was going to apply - it said that the place had gotten a bad rating in the kitchen. There were two critical violations and several lesser problems. The health department gave them 48 hours to get it cleaned up and apparently they did, but it makes me uneasy.

It seems like a red flag. Should I take this facility off my list?
