Need some urgent advice please

One of our male cats who was a stray...weve had him now for 3yrs and hes about 5yrs old....he had a limp his from right leg on and off for 3 months the vet has put him on anti imflamatorys and steriods....these have not done anything and he has had a very itchy coat...which the vet cannot see any wrong with his fur....we took him to the vets yesterday and since the last time he went two weeks ago a massive lump has came up at the top of his right leg.....the vet has took a biopsy today and we have to wait about 10 days for the results....he thinks at this stage it could be a tumor....when the vet done the xray they came accross a pellet so it looks like some cruel person has shot him at some time in his life the pellet is nr his chest....the vet has not mentioned removing it yet i presume he wonts to get the results from the lab regarding the lump.....we are so devastated that it may be an aggressive tumor....does anyone know if there are any holistic treatments or supplements we could buy that would build his immune system up and that would be beneficial to all our other cats we have 10 in total....and can anyone reccomend any good food products organic etc that would be good...we feed them on iams and felix as good as it gets but they do have tuna and chicken twice a week aswell.....hes such a lovley cat and we wont to do the best for him....we would rather do things without all the poisons you get from the vets....but any advice anyone can give would at least give us that little bit of hope which were all hoping for here.....thanks so much for all your time....xx
