Although my trip this weekend to New Hampshire did get cut short, I did take a few pictures. I apologize for the quality and lighting - it was torrential rain while I was taking these. I had to keep wiping off my poor camera!

Foliage - the foliage is a little behind this year and the storms were ripping many leaves off the trees.

This is a waterfall that is normally tame this time of year. People swim here in the summer. The flooding rains have changed that!

One of the towns has a "Pumpkin People" contest. Businesses and home owners participate . The judging and awards are this weekend. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of some of the best ones.

Cat and dog

even the pumpkins have an umbrella!

An old fashioned golfer

Louis Armstrong

This was outside an Irish pub - although I don't know what self-respecting Irishman would be drinking Budweiser! Where is the Guiness or Murphy's?

Snow White and the Three (?) Dwarfs

Thanks for looking!

Great pumpkins! People must have fun coming up with those every year.
Shame about the foliage. Ours is behind this year too. The hot summer and smog stressed out the trees too much. That's a great shot of the lone red tree in the field.

Karen those pictures are great!
What stunning foliage!
Those pumpkin people were so neat, though I will say that was quite unrealistic- not a single pumpkin person had a cell phone or Blackberry in their hand!

I'm sorry your trip was cut short
. NH looks like a beautiful state!

You should have heard me yelling at my husband "Stop the car, I have to get a picture of that tree!"

Great pics Karen!!
I love this time of year, if only for the beautiful foliage. I hope to get out this weekend and take some pics of the foliage here. Love the pumpkin people too, a town here in Nova Scotia does this too!

Thanks everyone.
I wish our trip hadn't been cut short and I could have gotten some better foliage pictures for you.
