yus i have my navel pierced, andi love it although i have noticed its started to grow out, i have 3 holes in each ear, and i love to wear white sparkling earings
you know with those diamonds although they arent real??

I have had my nose pierced with a gun! whoa! that was freaky, had it in about a year and a half, ben accidently ripped the stud out with his shirt and around that area they didnt have any nose studs so it ended up closing! although you can still see the hole if you come close enough...
I would like to get it pierced again but i want such a tiny tiny tiny stud that its so hard to find..
when i do though i might get it done again

How long did yours take to fully heal? Do you change out your jewelry often or wear the same one?

I have a little bump on mine and the tea tree oil is helping, but my piercer wants to change the ring to a curved barbell. I'm hoping it doesn't hurt much to change it now, since it's not healed yet (and well, that's the reason he wants to change it, actually - because the ring seems to be irritating it more because it's leaning to the side)!
I have my navel pierced and I had my eyebrow pierced x2, but the eyebrow one had to come out because it was migrating itself out anyways.

My navel ring took about a year to fully heal. Also, I found that even years later if I twirled it when it was dry it would get infected. I have heard that navel piercings are the slowest and hardest to heal - and I believe it!! I'm an "infecty" type person though, so that could be it too.

I can change it anytime and do when I find pretty ones. Actually since I gained weight I took it out because the roll of fat on my stomach was bothering it!

.

I also have a tattoo on my lower back. Now THAT hurt.

Other than the standard issue ear piercings, I've had 2nd holes(now closed), upper cartiledge (also closed), navel, and tongue, both still in use.

I had my navel pierced until I got pregnant, something about my hormones made it infected and smell funny so I took it out, and it healed in. I have a tongue ring I can still get in but don't wear, and a small pegasus tat on my back. oh and my ears are pierced of course

Only my ears...once each. I got it done when my 13 yr old daughter got hers done.
I have another daughter who had her navel done...and she loves it.
I have a neighor with a pierced nipple and a friend who got her tongue and lip done and her, well, um....one of the lips at the opposit end of her body. (SCARY!!!)
The only one that really bothers me to LOOK AT though is one in the eyebrow....MAKES MY EYES WATER BIG TIME !!

Really? But actually the eyebrow piercing hurt the least! It didn't even hurt!

For real? Because I don't know if you've ever gotten a zit in or near your eyebrow, but that is REALLY unpleasant. Of course, so is one anywhere on or near your nose ... or lip, for that matter.

Now that I think about it, I hardly ever get acne at all, but if I do, it's usually one zit in a really painful place ...

Sorry for the hijack—what were we talking about?

I have 4 normal earrings (2 in each lobe) and up til about 3 weeks ago had two in the left ear cartilage. My second cartilage peircing for some reason never healed. I had it for over 2 years and would constantly get infected, so I finally decided to just take it out. May get it redone later. I have my belly done, which I love! My mom can't figure out why I did it b/c I never wear belly shirts, but I love knowing its there and my bf likes it.
I have one tattoo on the inner ankle, and hope to get more soon. I always thought the eyebrow ring and tongue rings were pretty cool, but I went to a small high school so couldn't get it done. (My mom is a dental hygenist, and woulnd't have let me do the tongue anyways.) And now I'm in nursing school and can't have anything "out of the ordinary." I can only wear one set of studs in my ears, period, when I go to do clinicals. And will have to be careful where I get my next tattoos, but hey, it adds to the fun!

OK, I think that sounds like the worst (i.e., most painful) place to get a piercing. OK, maybe besides the tongue! aaaakk!!!

I've also heard since then that rings are better because they spin. I don't really know, though. Mine took about 3 months to completely heal and no longer be sensitive. But it wasn't until about a year later that I could swim in a chlorinated pool without it getting irritated or infected. A lot of people will cover them when they go swimming until they are fully healed.

I have thought about changing my barbell, but I honestly haven't found one that I love enough to try. I really like the ones that have a dangly thing of jewels that hang off the top, but again just haven't gotten around to finding one I like enough to spend the money on (tight budget, what can I say?
)

It is kinda cool to know you have one and that no one would suspect you
I know, I was very surprised that my piercer was telling me that maybe I should switch to the curved barbell now, because I was having some irritation from the captive ring. He initially told me the captive ring was better to start with because it spins when you are cleaning it! Huh?

I like the barbells better, anyway, though, so I'm looking forward to changing it!
The one great piece of info. he gave me was that you need to use surgical steel (or gold is good, too, but very expensive!), and almost all barbells with cutesy designs or dangly things are made of silver (only the actual barbell part is made with surgical steel). The bottom part can really irritate the skin because silver doesn't mix with a piercing. He said the ones with dangles and stuff are usually meant to be worn for special occasions, i.e., just a night. I'm sure there are people who wear them for longer periods, but that made me think I would probably just get one barbell that I really like and stick with it instead of changing it often and risking more infection!
