Do your kitty's like to play with basic household junk (ie. milk jug ring or caps, wadded up pieces of paper, etc.) or do they like the fun kitty toys that you buy them?

I have a whole shoebox of store bought toys that Molly never touches! Her favorite toys are the caps off of a pop/soda bottle or a wadded up coffee filter.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Both of my girls love playing with the ring off of gallon water bottles! One of Sierra's favorite toys is a sea shell off the beach, and they both enjoy playing with walnuts and almonds in the shell! Serenity has a blast with a cotton ball, although I have to watch her carefully so she doesn't eat it, and Sierra loves getting into a box of tampons!

Goodness does she??? Naughty girl....lol

Sashka's favourite thing in the WORLD is hair elastics - she can play with one for hours on end. Sweet baby

Sunday doesn't get into toys but she will chase your hand up and down and around and around the lounge if you pretend it's a spider or something like that

The dog plays with the cat toys more than the cats do. The cats prefer the bottle cap rings, or pebbles. Sometimes Molly will play with the smallest speck of something, it looks like she's playing with nothing!

Actually that is so true - we have hardly had to buy Ruby any puppy toys cos she just plays with the ones that Sashka has abandoned now that she's no longer a tiny kitten.

Poptarts all time favorite toy is a crumpled peice of paper.. he come running if he hears paper ripping, or being made into a ball.
Gorditos favorite toy is pop bottle caps. He has quite the stash too!

the other two boys play with everything.. but mostly paper.. sometimes Q-tips.

Just like Children, they would rather play with the box than the toys

Buddy steals the sea shells that I have in a bowl in the bathroom. He also steels my daughters hairbands, and he also likes her teddy bears, and they are bigger than him, he likes to try to tear them apart, and he was successful with one of them. My daughter was not amused!
He also just started trying to take her crayons, but I stop him because he trys to chew on those

Mica destroys any toys on a string that I buy them they each last about one month.

This is this months toy (2 weeks old):

Actually they are both right now playing with a scrunched up paper.

Our tedy likes Q-Tips....USED ONES!!! We can no longer put them in the waste can in the bathroom...or he`ll empty the whole thing looking for them.
Toby`s favorite is tearing the pages out of the little "Fat-Lady" catalogs I get in the mail.

Marlee's most favorite toys are my pens! I have such trouble trying to get homework done b/c shes on my desk batting at my pen while I write! She also loves the bendy straws, I have atleast 5 on my bedroom floor just for her! Marlee is just now learning how to pick up her stuff and carry it, so I'm always seeing her with a pen or a straw in her mouth, prancing around so proud!

I've got bendy-straws all over MY house.

I bought a pack of 200 straws for my daughter, they're colorful & bend at the top? Well whenever she's done with the straws, she doesn't pitch them... she either throws it to the cat (Hammie carries them around like a DOG with a BONE) or just leave it lay and the cats will find it!

Milkrings are also a favorite.

And, toilet paper rolls. Paper towel rolls are great toys; Hammie will hold onto the paper towel roll with all his might, and KICK it while holding on fiercely! Like he's really angry at it and has to kill it!

Socks, any socks, whether they are dirty or clean or just a spare "cleaning" sock... fair game in my house.

But mainly it's those straws. They make a funny sound when the cats chew on them.

altho i buy toys, their favorites seem to be stuff i've turned into toys. Java likes the fur puffs i buy, but Cable likes anything that skitters, & Pixel prefers the paper towel footballs i make her to the sponge balls i've bought her. i'm not buying anymore of the sponge balls - they roll under things & then she can't find them when she wants to play!

My cats only purchased toy that they really love is the crinkle balls. Otherwise, trash is best. Garfield tried to steal a roll of tape last night! And yes, straws are fun, and elastic ponytail holders!

Garfield will look in the trash can for any crinkly sounding trash, which of course scares me! If he swallows it, yuck!

I've gotten Harley some cute toys from the store, but he won't even look twice at them! He would much rather play with the plastic bag we get groceries from, pop bottles, string, magazines or my shades on the patio door, and of course, his favorite is any kind of box that he can (or try to) fit into!

So I guess my vote, is TRASH!!
