That was exactly what I was trying to get across about the politicians; thanks for understanding.
They preach this "culture of life" dren, and in the same breath call for war and executions.... That's just so strange to me. What's even stranger is that people really buy into it and think that these scum-bag politicians are really on their side.
have major issues with the anti-choice moral. How is it moral to force your morals on someone else? How is it moral to take away a woman's right to choose whether she carries her pregnancy to term or not? Bringing a new life into the world should be a choice. If a woman chooses
to keep her pregnancy, that's wonderful...that's her choice
. If another woman decides to terminate hers, that's very sad, tragic even, but it's her
choice to make...no one else's.
I do not want children. I do not want to put my body through pregnancy, labor and delivery, and I do not want to be a mother. If my birth control fails, even though I take it properly and make sure to ask my doctor about any possible drug interactions, should I have to carry that pregnancy to term? Should I, even though I am responsible enough to take precautions, be forced to bring an unwanted child into the world because of something beyond my control?
What about a girl who doesn't know about proper birth control techniques? The one who thinks that "pulling out" or douching with Coke works? That you can't get pregnant your first time? That if you do it in a certain position, you won't get pregnant? There are a lot of women who are totally ignorant about proper prevention techniques. Should they be forced to have babies, even though they don't want them, because no one bothered to teach them about birth control?
