Oh dear - Just stay with the poor little fella - Your being there will help him immensly. He needs to feel like he has his mother there for him.

Hope he gets better soon!

No change.

We have TWO f-ing places that call themselves animal *hospitals* neither will do anything past 5:30pm. Wouldn't that make them clinics?

One of them told me they used to but don't anymore.

I don't think he'll make it till morning. I'm reassuring/cuddling all the time. Mostly just waiting now. I'm still tryingg to get him to drink but having no luck. He won't swallow and I don't want to drown the little guy. Tried the coffee, tried the karo syrup, tried the egg yolk way earlier... no change. He doesn't want anything. I just hope he's not in pain.

Common Moogle. Hang in there little guy. Your mommie and all us love you very much!

I've been thinking about him all day, poor little Moogle.
I know you must be exhausted! My thoughts and prayers go out to you too.

Try putting just a little formula on the end of your finger and then putting it in the side of his mouth. Sometimes my little one would quit eating then she would get a little taste and then just start nursing away. They really miss their mamas. I know mine would have rather had her mom than me, but I happened to be all she had left. Did the vet mention Nutri-cal? It is very high in calories and only takes a dab to give them strength. I am not sure if you can use on tiny kittens but my sons cat was very little and sickly and it brought her up to health. I am not sure if anything will work, but prayer if he is really sick. I know you have probably tried everything I mentioned but sometimes when I am upset even the obvious is hard to think of. I will keep praying for you and little Moogle. Wish I could help more

Well he made it through the night. I've been syringing food and water into him. but afrter a few mouthfulls he cries and hunches up like he's trying to poo but can't. When I stimulate him he cries and pees a bit but no poo.

Of the two vets in town, one is only doing surgeries today and won't see him till 9:45 tommorrow. The other is out of town. His assistant said give him a dab of mineral oil but I already tried that a couple of times.

I'm at a loss, and sooo tired.

Great news that he made it through the night! YEAH!! I am so happy.
maybe he is constipated? just guessing now since he has been having diarrhea.

My one kit, aptly named Korki, had real trouble with constipation with KMR.
To the point where we had to literally pull the poo out.
She exhibited similar attempts at making poo but couldnt. she would hunch all over and cry bloody murder but would never go.
poor little girl screamed the whole time, but that poo we pulled out of her was almost as long as she was at 10 days old. she felt MUCH better after that. We had this issue with KMR no matter the dilution with this one cat. We switched to VET brand and stayed with that with no issues. it seemed to disolve better and be less platey or chalky.
Can you notice any fecal matter around his anus at all? Or notice that his sphincter is swollen or protruding? We used cotton balls dampened with warm water to stimulate his anus and then gently stroking his lower abdomen with firm but gentle pressure toward his rear. As soon as we saw some kind of fecal matter, we gently tugged on it to remove it from her. It was very hard and white. We were very gentle and took our time and never pulled with great force. we had to be patient as the poor little one screamed the whole time. as you know, its scary to hear your baby cry so loud.
Mineral oil and pedalyte did help some but we decided to give up KMR after that.
I know all that sounds gross, but i am sure by now you are willing do whatever it takes. It is really not that nasy you just have to be gentle and patient.
Hang in there.
Sleep when you can, i hope you like coffee
.
As you can tell we ALL are sending our best wishes and energy your and Moogles way.

I hope the little guy is O.K. Are these vets in a larger town? I know it's a drive away from you but is it possible to drive Moggle to a vet in a larger city?

He does need to see a vet, but honestly, you and your loving care are what has brought Moogle so far. You have tried so much!

Continue to love and care for this baby. You are an angel to do so. Enjoy his baby sweetness, even as you sweat and work. He is a miracle! Prayers that with each passing day, he regains a little strength. And prayers for your continued patience and wisdom.

Well nothing I've fed him has made any change. I can hardly get him to eat at all. His little sphincter is very raw and swollen. Stroking his tummy and anus makes him scream and cry but no poo grabbable or otherwise. I'm rather worried as his urine is very concentrated now. I just cant seem to get enough fluid into him.

Apparently intestinal blockage is common with roundworms and unless I can get it cleared it will kill him.

I'm glad to hear you're little one got over this though. Gives me hope. I need to go make myself some coffee right now. mmm cooooffeeee.

I'm legally blind and can't drive so I'm dependant on my employers for rides. By the time I can get one it will be too late in the evening. If I could, I would so take him to Tallahassee and get him looked at. I wish I could even afford the cab fare, but that would be astronomical. I only make 50 to 100 bucks a week over room and board.

His vet visit from before was 75. I have just enough right now to get him seen again. But not with a steep cab fare thrown in.

I'm giving him a few moutfulls of pedialyte every 20min or so. If I try to give him more he won't swallow. I try to give him just a litte dilluted formula every hour or so. More than that he stops swallowing and then throws up. I'm so worried. I know his tummy hurts so bad.

Am I right in thinking that the vets in Tallahassee are about 22 miles away from you?

I have posted on another forum, (not a cat one) asking for help there is a lot of people from the US there. I have said that I will paypal somebody the money to pay for fuel to help you out.

Actually how much do you think a Taxi would cost to get you to Tallahassee and back cost you? I know you said a lot but do you have any idea of the actual cost?
