At first his poo was looking better. More solid and there were white bits in it whic I assumed were bits of parasite. But now it's all white and he's thrown up a couple times. He's been eating less tonight and seems weaker/more sleepy.

I'm afraid I'm losing him.

I will try to get him back to the vet in the morning.

I have been following up on you and your baby. All I can tell you is pray and take him to the vet. I raised a kitty from 3 days old, and knew nothing about taking care of little ones. I was like you. Worry all the time, because I loved her. I took care of her just like my kids. It had to be prayers for my Spunky. She was found in an car with broken glass all around her. She was actually sucking on a piece when I went to get her. My dad owns a car lot and someone had broken the glass out of the car. Mama kitty had her kittens in there and started moving them. She left little Spunky. It had gotten around 40 degrees the night before and rained. She was cold and wet. Chances of her surviving was very little. My vet prepared me. He has seen me cry too many times. He said it was almost impossible to raise one after being through what she had. Spunky turned 5 this year. She was born on Easter. She was an Easter miracle. God saved my little Spunky. I will pray for your little Moogle. I have a good feeling about him. He is just precious. God bless you and I will surely pray for you too. I know you need rest also.

I've been reading these. Your doing GREAT with all your efforts.
Moogle is a lucky little guy. He is absolutely darling. Looking at the pictures from the other thread i can almost feel my finger cuticles itch from when i raised some little ones. They would just purr and pad with their little paws. those little needle claws would tear away at my fingers. I miss that.

Keep that little guy warm. around 100 F. all the time. keep him next to your body if you are just sitting around. I know you are worried sick. We all are for you too.
Moogle has a very strong will to live. Hang in there with him. dont panic to much or over compensate for your worry.
You mentioned in the other thread that you had a 2 1/2 hour vigil with him. Are you feeding him every two hours? If so. Cut back. Every 4 is good. He might just have a tummy ache. What you are feeding him is great! plenty of good stuff for kittens in there. You are doing a GREAT job as momma kitty!!!
Definately visit your vet, they are the experts.

I am sending out every good thought and feelings with every ounce of me. I want this little guy to make it. Im saying the fancisican prayer for Moogle and you as I type it. Please keep us posted.

“Blessed are you, Lord God, maker of all living creatures. You called forth fish in the sea birds in the air and animals of the land. You inspired St. Francis to call of them his brothers and sisters. We ask you to bless “Moogleâ€. By the power of your love, enable it to live according to your plan. May we always praise you for your beauty in creation. Blessed are you, Lord our God in all your creatures! Amen.â€

Oh noooooooo!!!!!!! How is he now??? Oh please God, let him be ok. I've been following your story too, as Moogle and Kiddie are of similar age and have similar stories. Did you get to go to the vet yet??

How are you holding up???

You are doing all you can, his poop says the formula is to rich. If you are adding things to it, then stop and make it just the straight formula. Cut back to every three hours and don't overfeed him. If he stops taking the formula, then just call it good and stimulate him and then just hold him till he falls asleep. Keep him close to your heart- on kitten-rescue there is a page about making a pouch for him so he lays inside your shirt between your chest right on your heart.

Good luck at the vets office and please let us know what happens.

Many baby kittens have survived the odds- don't give up hope now.

Dammit!

I can't drive so I'm depenant on my roomies/employers for transport. The earliest I will be able to get him to the vet is this evening. I'm doing my best to keep him warm, comforted and above all else hydrated. He's still barfing the little bit of food I can get into him. He barely eats a mouthfull or so at a time, he won't take water on his own. If I syringe a few drops into his mouth he will swallow but then jerks his head away.

He still has the runs but it's a normal color again at least. His tummy is making ghastly upset rumblings. He also seems much weaker and feels too warm. He's still purring while I stroke him, but his occasional mewl sound so pitiful and unhappy.

This is breaking my heart. I'm a mess.

Oh sweet kitten, this does not sound good. If he is throwing up so badly, do not feed him anymore for now. Get on the phone and call the vet and list each symptom on a piece of paper first so you can concentrate. Ask the girls to talk to the vet and ask him what is the best thing you can do.

They purr when they are scared and in pain, so just keep him close and give him your comfort.

My cats (Simon, Mr. Pooh, and Callie) and I all send our prayers Moogle's way. From the lips of kitties to God's ears. Keep us posted, ok? And please do not lose faith and hope either. It is through those two things that all miracles happen.

YY is named after the Bhuddist Goddess of Mercy and Compassion and she is praying to her now for some for Moggle! You have some great advice and I hope the vet can see him. Can you take a cab? Or is there anyone else to drive you? Our vet makes house calls when animals are really ill and seniors do not drive - is that possible?

Good luck!!

vet isn't there. assistant said use a cool washcloth to bring his temp down slowly and try to get him to eat a milk and egg mixture.

Do you have rubbing alchohol in the house? If so, dilute it half with water and dab it on the pads of the kitten's feet to help bring down the fever. Do you know for a fact there is a fever? Or are you just assuming?

just found this on the web

Rectal temperatures in a normal newborn kitten range from 95° to 99° F (35° to 37.2° C) for the first week, 97° to 100° F (36.1° to 37.7° C) for the second and third weeks, and reach the normal temperature of an adult (100° to 102° F; 37.7° to 38.9° C) by the fourth week.

I hope it helps, I am sooo praying for this little one
