Bathroom Buddy Anyone?

Anyone else have one of these nosey cats?

We are currently livin with the in-laws and we forgot to tell them that Foley is a 'bathroom buddy'. He loves to be in there with you when you .. er .. do yer business! He will try and sit on your lap, wrap around your legs, get on the sink to nuzzle you ..

He also just MUST be in there for showers. He will sit at the door till you let him in! I've went in there during my husbands showers to use the bathroom and there's Foley, just sittin on the toilet. Just ... waiting. LOL Or .. have a clear shower liner? Sweet. Foley will walk the edge of the tub and stare at you. Just lookin around.

Its so werid. Ive never known a more social cat! He hates to be alone. Wont be left alone in a room. Hes so odd! But soooo loveable!

Sierra and Serenity accompany me each and every trip to the potty and always carefully supervise my shower!

Aww how nice that you have such an affectionate cat! Mine love to come scope it out when we are in the bathroom. But if the door is closed they don't bother.

Mine love to follow me into the bathroom, too. While I'm on the toilet, they try to squeeze between my back and the resivour (at which point they are told no, and plopped down onto the floor), and during showers, they watch through the clear curtain. Bella actually likes to sit on the very edge of the shower, and if I stand cloes enough to the curtain, she'll headbut me or bat at me with her paw. Rowan usually just sits on the toilet lid or litterbox during showers.

And if I (for some odd reason) decide to dry or straighten my hair, they watch the whole time from the toilet or litterbox.

I am SO glad you started this thread because I was thinking of starting the same one last night!!

I mean, is it entirely necessary to have a furry, four-legged companion looking after you EVERY time you have a shower or go to the toilet??

Sunday has never been interested in either but Sashka, God help me, you can never get her out of there if you're in there!!! She used to launch herself up the shower curtain and then perch on top of the railing watching me from above. Since we moved and we have a screen instead of a curtain, she contents herself with pawing the screen open so she can sit there and watch me with an unobstructed view, occasionally swatting at my foot if I stick it out to her, or letting out a little, `miaaaaooowwwww' just to let me know I'm ok!!! lol...

Gotta love `em - the bathroom fetish is the cutest thing ever!

Mine both LOVE to join in the "bathroom fun" too....especially when I`m brushing my mouth and putting my teeth in!

Reilly loves to come into the bathroom, I have to warn guests because he loves to nip at your um..."cheek overhang" when you sit on the toilet!

Well, my fiance was trying to take a leak and the cat decided to jump up and bat the trickle!!! Safe to say the cat and my fiances pants were covered with wee!!! And we have a sliding door on the bathroom which he can open so we can't keep hom out!!!

He will also come into the shower when you are in there!!! He loves water!!!

The other cat I live with, Chelsea

(She owns my housemates) has some odd habits. She has to go use her litter box every time anyone is near it. Since her main box is in the laundry room it makes folding clothes a stinky job. My running joke is to turn my head to her and ask "Chelsea MUST you?".

She doesn't follow anyone into the toilet, and has no interest in showers but *must* be right there if anyone is running a bath. She hates water but seem to like watching it.

My boyfriend/fiancee-type person has leave (and he's coming to visit me!!!) in about three weeks, so I'll have to warn him. Moving my bath mats so the bathroom door can swing shut might be a host-ly thing to do, too. Thanks for the warning.

Yeah, we couldn't believe it ourselves!!! He always tries to jump on my lap when I'm doing my business!! And should you do a number 2 he gets very excited to here the "Plop!"

ok, first, I give those both five lol's ( )! and second, ym cat charlie alway's fallow's me into the bathroom.

Thank you! I'll be sure to tell my fiance!! He'll be thrilled when I he finds out I told people he got wee on himself and the cat!!

That is a kitty-cat with lots of character!

I get 3 cats and 4 dogs that try to...lets say socialize with me whilst I'm in that compromising position. My toidy area is only about 4x3ft so not all of them fit. They try very hard though.

Zoe is a bathroom kitty, too. She scratches at the door and meow if you don't let her follow you in. lol
I actually wait until she comes in before I sit down, because I know I'll just have to listen to a complaining Zoe if I don't. She'll rub my legs and purr the whole time. My boyfriend doesn't let her join in his fun, so she complains at him. lol
