Bob has lost his little kitten mind lately and I'm not sure what the deal is.

A little history on Bob...he is a neutered male, approximately 7-months old. He is a rescue that I have bottle-fed since he was literally hours-old. Bob (and sister) had a rough kittenhood (not sure there is such a word?)...had eye infections, fever, URI, loss of hair and tremors where poor little Bob would shake so hard, he would knock himself over.

After many vet. visits, we came to the conclusion that because Bob was premature, he might have some neurological damage which was what was causing his tremors/convulsions. Bob did grow out of this
Bob and sister Allie are now beautiful, healthy, social 7-month old lovebugs.

Here is the thing...Bob is toally bonkers lately. He runs through my house from room to room, windowsill to bed to shower to table to whatever is in his path at mock 90!! His eyes get as big as the moon and off he goes. He has actually jumped from the floor (standing position) to the top of my son's bunkbed in a single-bound (that's over 6 feet)!! He has also been displaying a love of water lately. Bob goes into the sink, into the bathtub and sometimes pokes around in the good ole' toilet. No fear of water or anything for that matter...not even the dreaded vacuum
I must mention that Bob is also a "thumbsucker". Every night & I mean every night, Bob jumps into bed with me and sucks/nurses at my palm until he falls asleep with his head in my hand. Cute, huh?

Either Bob is "missing a few whiskers" OR Bob is part Bengal. He is striped and spotted, does have the feature of a small head, long & lanky body with an incredible jumping ability, love of water, fearless of all AND lately runs with the speed of a jet-plane.

How do I calm him down or don't I?

I have two siblings, boy (Kuzya) and girl (Nafanya). They are 6 months old. They also look like Bengal cats. They have stripes and spots. Kuzya is completely black but when you hold him to the sun you can see his stripes and spots. They do the same thing. They run around like crazy. I mean the speed they reach is dangerous. They both love water. After I take a shower they jump in there and sit in the puddle of water. Last week my hubby was lounging on the floor with them, they started running and jumping around like crazy, Kuzya missed a jump above my hubby's face and scrached half of his face. I mean we though we were going to get stitches, but fortunately we didn't have to. I mean imagine what the speed has to be to scratch like that. I just think that they are very active kitties. I think that's their exercise. I don't think you have to calm him down. I think it's just a kitten being a kitten. What about your girl? Does she run around with him?

Bob's sister, Allie, plays but not the way Bob does. You know...she runs & jumps but not at 90-miles an hour through the house. I have 7 babies here and none of them play like Bob does. Maybe he is having a late kittenhood since he was born premature and does everything on the "late" side.
