Joji wants her box clean so I scoop hers twice a day. If it weren't for her, I would be scooping every other day. My cats are indoor/outdoor so the pans aren't used as often as an indoor kitty would.

I scoop twice a day. Wow it makes me feel bad for my 4 kitties when I see people with only 1 cat scooping twice a day.

I scoop 3 times a day or more if one of them "plants a rose."

When I had just Prego, it was only once a day plus roses.

I put other b/c my schedule varies! (I'm in nursing school). If I am home and she poops, i'll give it time to settle then scoop. If she pees while I'm at home, I usually will wait til shes gone a time or two. I always check when I get home from school or elsewhere, and scoop if needed. I'd say probably 2-3 times a day, depending on how much Marlee goes!

Alot alot alot, probably 20 times a day
I have 6 litter boxes, but I'm home all day except 2 days I work, I have 8 kitty kitty's also so I do it quite often. I do my best to keep everyone clean and healthy
The reason I have so many boxes is I have a big house, and I want to make sure they can get to one when needed, I had 8 boxes on here first but I meant 6, I can't tell an 8 from a 6 without glasses

Well, 1 1/2 wasn't there!

We have 4 litter boxes, 3 cats, but they usually use the one box on the main floor, so I scoop that one twice a day, and the others once, depending if they event went.

Is this too gross, but...what do you do with it once you scoop? I got a Litter Locker for the main floor...

Amie!
So true!

I scoop at least twice a day, but since Holly is in my room now since she is having kittens in the next few days, if she goes then I'll remove it straight away.

Twice a day, more on weekends, but my two kitties share one large corner litter box. They seem to be just fine sharing, so it works for me!

I guess how often you scoop also depends how many boxes you have in the house (e.g., one per kitty, one per two kitties, one for each + an extra box)?

Well with 7 litter boxes, 5 domestics, 3 bobcats and a cougar, that is a lot of poop to scoop
At least 3 times a day, sometimes more. Of course, our Aurora always waits for you to scoop. I make my rounds and just when I think I am done, there she is franticly digging in the box as if to say, I have to do this before he catches me

My usual daily routine is scoop in the morning before work, get home & scoop after the kits have had pooping contests all day long!

And usually after they eat at night, too, there is the usual poo-frenzy. So I'll scoop before bed if there is a lot of stinkies in the house.

Don't you know that scooping time is the best time to use the litter box. There are times I could scoop all 3 boxes 3 times in a row before everyone is done making a mess in the clean box.

I would say 3 times - I never ever had a cat which needed a litter box, so having a kitten since 1 week is a new experience. I didn't even know what to do with a cat toilet. Never knew there was such a choice in litter etc etc.

I scoop in the morning, when I get up, when I get back from work and before I go to bed. I currently have a kitten box, which may be fine for some kittens, but not for one which loves to dig to Australia before going for a solid one. So I went and got a massive litter box (the biggest I could find), but as I had just cleaned the little one, before I got the big one, I decided instead of making up a new box, I would put it inside the big box.... hey presto, perfect ! I only need a smallish amount of litter, and he can't throw it out of both boxes (allthough he tries). I am quite mad with completley replacing the litter every other day, and the big box would have got very expensive very quickly.

The fist litter we bought was called "Fuller's Earth" and clumped quite well. Currently I use Supermarket Extra Value Lightweight Litter, but it's rubbish, as it doesn't clump, and I end up replacing the whole lot 3 times a day.
Next try will be Catsan. Smell-wise there is no difference. The cat is meticulous (bordering on obsessed) with covering all body movements, and I guess I change often enough.... Can't wait until he is allowed out and uses Mother Natures toilet instead !

I voted other because I don't do the scooping... I have a hubby for that!! but he usually does it every other day with a complete litter change and disinfecting every 5-7 days depending on amount of poo and smell...

I HIGHLY reccommend "arm & hammer super scoop" I Love it (as much as I love anything that has poop in it eventually) I like the way it clumps better than tidy cats and it made a big improvement on smell... I use their litter deodorizer too and that helps.

Have you got a Picture of the Arm & Hammer Cat litter ? I am in the UK, so it will have a different name, but the packaging should be the same.
