Ok get your minds out of the gutter! I went to visit my adorable granddaughter, and her kitty cuddled with me all night. He is Pearl's brother, a beautiful, shiny white kitty. He is so sweet, and just loves to be held. He has to stay out of arm's reach of the baby, because she has developed a fascination with his whiskers. She is not quite old enough to learn to pet kitty properly, so he just dodges her little hands. She got a big handful while I was holding them both, and he just backed out of her grasp, no hissing or swatting. I was so proud of him. He gets behind her and headbutts the back of her head. He loves her so much, and is so good with her.
Olivia is almost 6 months old and absolutely adorable. She is so good natured and happy. We spent the weekend there, and she fussed maybe a total of 5 minutes. The rest of the time she spent smiling and giggling. I got up Saturday morning before anyone else and peeked in at her, she smiled and cooed at me, no crying or demanding. We got up and hung out together while everyone else slept in. She is trying to talk, and says something that sounds like "love you" right before she gives a wet, sloppy baby kiss. I miss them so much. I have got to get off my butt and get a dependable car so I can go visit more often.

So, since you slept with Pearl's brother, did you get his name?
I have to admit, the title got me.

Sounds like a lovely weekend.

His name is Cotton. He looks very much like Pearl, but his face has a slight wedge shape to it. I think there may have been a Siamese in the ancestry somewhere. I would love to bring him home with me.

Aww you must get a good car and visit more often. Make the most of this time - you know, before she's a teenager?!

Well, Pearl is a beauty, so Cotton must be too.
