I will be helping a friend clean out feral houses today. I know to wear old clothes, but can anyone tell me if it is possible for me to bring home fleas with me and if that happens what do I do?

Is there any way that you can change your clothes on site (afterward), and put them in a plastic bag? You probably won't bring home any anyway (most are probably on the cats themselves), but I would be cautious regardless.

I was actually thinking of taking my clothes off as much as possible in the hallway

When I volunteer at the feral cat clinic..I take off all my clothes the moment I get through my front door and start the washing machine. Then I take a hot shower BEFORE I even let my cats near me.Originally Posted by jamasmom
