on the weekend my husband and i went shopping for a printer, we ended up getting a good canon that could apparently print photo's, although both my husband and i were sceptical.

we took it back to the cabin and hooked it up to the laptop and with some glossy photo paper tried to print a photo....and wow! lol they look just like one's developed at the chemist, i had no idea printers had gotten so much better

now i can take and print my own photo's, it still amazes me now
and i'm building a collection of photo's we love to do a scrapbooking album of them.

it's so much fun, my husband knows how yalgoo has been getting to me and also knows how much i love taking photo's, he said 'a new toy should cheer you up' plus he brought me two new books and a bag
i just love him soooooo much
no matter what happens, i can always depend on him to make me feel better and love me.

he knows i prefer books to roses any day too

If your Canon is as good as my Canon (and mine wasn't even new when I got it almost two years ago!) you'll LOVE it. What a sweet little machine! And you're right about the quality of the photo prints!

How good are they? I bought one recently - a Canon, too - it was only $180 and it is just fantastic - even prints on CDs. Mint.

Congratulations on your new toy!
I bet you'll have tonnes of fun playing with it and creating your scrapbook!

It is amazing how far printers have come - I remember my old Dot Matrix and that horrible noise it made when printing!

They were terrible! and ever so slow!!! I remember trying to print out a project the day before it was due and having to go to bed while it printed as it was taking soooooo long!

I also remember not having an integrated scanner in my printer and having to use the handhelds - where you were guaranteed to get a strange wiggle or obscure part of the picture where you moved or went too quickly!! Oh thank goodness for flatbeds!
