The breeder I got Jesse James from just called and asked if I would be interested in is brother. I already have FOUR cats. How much harder will one more be really? Dave and I are really thinking hard about this one. Jesse is a F2 Chausie. He is over 40% Jungle Cat (felis chaus). What would the house be like with two hybrids? LOL

I really really want him. I just want to make sure I can handle it

I guess his "outlaw" name would have to be Billy the Kid? Maybe Doc Holiday? Butch Cassidy? Sundance Kid?

Decisions, decisions....what would you do???

I don't have any advice to offer, but the name of your thread caught my eye, since I keep saying something similar to my hubby..."What difference will it make if we got one more cat?"
(We have 3 already).
I wish you luck in your decision....although, if you do get the kitty, I want to see pics!!!!

I am trying to tell my BF that going from 4 to 5 will be no difference after falling in love with a 5 month old orange tabby at the local shelters adoption day at the pet store this morning!

Apart from the extra health problems Scully came with (which we knew in advance would be a problem) I didn't notice any extra work going from 3 to 4. But 5 cats and you are the weird cat lady

That's what my hubby says about having 4 cats!
He's 3 cats is still sane, but 4 would make us the crazy cat people up the street!

I love
my "outlaw" cat. I know I would love his brother just as much. The breeder said he doesn't have the same personality type as Jesse though. He is a bit more reserved around people. I am okay with that. Maybe he will be another mommy's boy? Savannah is a mommy's girl. Both Jesse and his brother were bottle fed babies. I can't wait for Dave to get home to help me decide. It's funny because when we were buying Jesse I joked around with Dave and told him if we got them both we wouldn't have to pay for double shipping.

About the screen name.....oh well. You all already know who I am.....

I do have to call her back and let her know one way or the other soon.

I was thinking Billy the Kid for a name. Doc Holiday is running a close second in my head though.

I did think of Frank before but no one knows who Frank James is.

Well, Dave said "Go ahead and get him if you want him".

Now it really is up to me. Either him or the kids take care of litter boxes and hairballs (YUCK). I have a pretty weak stomach. He said okay, so he is okay with extra clean up.

I am a little worried about my sweet girl Savannah. She is already tormented by the boys and I am seriously considering letting my daughter take her to her dad's house.

The cost isn't much of an issue here. We aren't tight for money, but we don't always have a ton left over. We have had emergencies with the cats that required surgery and we were able to handle that without borrowing antything. So, it really is just the difference between four and five that's hard to make.

I really should call the breeder back, but may just think on it over night.

I don't have any will power either. I believe if you are able to provide proper care both money and responsibility and have the space then it shouldn't matter. So I say go for it.

By the way I like Billy The Kid as well as Doc Holliday!

Beautiful kitty. Look at those ears! Congratulations. I'm envious. I'd be too afraid to even bring something like that up with my hubby. I'm so happy for you. We need lots of pics now!

Thanks

We will have tons of pictures when we pick him up at the airport next week or the week after.

We were just giving the cats some treats. Jesse and Savannah were already here. I called Zeke..... then Riley. Dave said "Billy!!!!" LOL

I soon will have five babies. Pretty cool. Billy will take some time and patience to get things going smooth here, so I will be posting a lot for advice I am sure. He is a 7 month old hybrid after all.

Thanks for all the posts on this thread and for sharing the good news. The Cat Site kitties just grew in number. I wonder just how many kitties are accounted for by members here. I think I will start a post after this to see just how many we all have together.
