Hi, I'm Jeanie with the Siamese cats who use to breed and show Collies. I used to be a very active participant in responding to and beginning new threads. I have a new e-mail address and just couldn't get the computer to recognize me. I hope some of you do. I have to log in as Jeanie G. now. It's nice to be back--finally! I spent a month in the hospital from Dec. to Jan. and my two Babies bred. I had been isolating the two, but my husband let her out and guess what? Well, I sent her to the emergency vet Sunday when I saw a bag of waters break. She had lost a kitten in August the same way. She spotted for days, but the kitten was still kicking. I was heartbroken to help her deliver a dried up placenta and a dead kitten with a normal placenta the next day. I thought it was uterine inertia, so when I saw the water break-with no kitten- I had to get help. The vet said she wasn't ready to deliver, but gave her a shot of pituitrin. She spotted Mon. and Tues., but no laboring ( that I saw) and no kittens to be found. She was very small, but the vet had said there were at least 2. I have no idea what happened. She would have been due, the vet said, by now-2/22/02. I have raised many litters, but never had this problem.
