So, all of a sudden, Lola started having really loose stools. I took her to the vet over a week ago where we ruled out IBS and worms and she was diagnosed with a bacterial upset that was affecting her digestion. So, she's on anti-biotics for a few more days and taking them just fine...but the loose stool is still there. I've tried taking her off the brand of wet she's on, but that makes no difference? Might the Innove Evo I feed her have suddenly started upsetting her stomach? I've heard about kitties who have loose stool on Evo, but up until about 10 days ago, she never had a problem.

Also, I know the Prairie is an all-stage diet (I'd love to do Wellness for both cats, but they eat each other's dry food constantly and I'd need Super5 and Kitten) and I'm willing to give it a try as long as Leo does ok on it. Does anyone know of any other All-Stagers?

I forgot Nutro, though it's one of my "preferred foods". What I really like is the dry - big kibble, which prevents gobbling/inhaling the stuff.

It's not officially all-stage, but when I was looking for a good food that both a kitten (Jamie) and a 14-year-old (Straycat, RB) could eat, my vet told me I could feed them Nutro. At the time, only the adult formula was available here, and it was hard to find. I know of a small rescue that still feeds Nutro (adult) at all stages. The young kittens can't manage the big kibble, though. The woman who runs it claims it's still better than the "age-linked" domestic brands. It was extremely difficult to get "quality" cat food in Germany till about 5 years ago, but in the meantime there are a lot of importers. They usually only offer the adult dry and canned when introducing a new product, and then expand to kitten and senior if the food catches on.

Another food that's good for all stages is Serengeti (dry). Jame and ZsaZsa go nuts over this stuff. http://www.timberwolforganics.com/cg...f=herbal_felid That and Natural Balance have only been available here for several months, and I'm hoping that the demand is great enough that the supplier continues to import them.
