If you don't know what I mean :

http://thesims2.ea.com/

Its such an addictive game and I have been a fan (as my username suggests
) since the original Sims game came out. Its pretty much one of the most fun waste of time ever and now that the Nightlife expansion pack has come out I really find it hard to get anything done!

Does anyone else play the game?

I played the orginal too and I really loved it. The new one is MUCH better! There is so much more you can do. The sims actually go through a life cycle birth to death. The graphics are so much better and the game is so much more realistic. You can build much niver houses and you get to really dabble with your sims genes. The children actually become teenagers adults then elders.

Its just so much fun

They have it for the computer and for a game machine (I forget which one though). You basically just make little animated people live. They have to work, exercise, be entertained, socialize, eat, bathe, etc. Everything we need to do to survive and advance. Even work on skills to advance in thier 'career.' It reminds me of barbies but cooler! They can get in relationships, have children and what not.

Let me put it this way a kid in the Game store (like electronics boutique here in England) asked me whether he should buy the Sims 1 and all its expansion packs, on offer bound together, or the Sims 2 as they were the same price. I said definatly Sims 2.

Its so worth it.

I have played the second Sims quite a bit, but not much lately...too busy reading on CatSite, caring for my own furbabies, and making jewelry! But the game is much fun, and I love the dowloads you can get for it to make it even better!

I love Sims2. I was playing Sims Online but that became "un-fun".... I just got the university expansion... was thinking about the nightlife one... I dunno. Not great reviews on the 2nd expansion....

I bought a Sims game, put it on my computer and can't figure out how to play it. It's probably one of the earlier one's, but it's supposed to let you build cities, and sky scrapers ect. I finally just gave up, because it's very confusing.

I feel the same way Hope. I did actually get Sims City but never had time (I think it came with a computer maybe awhile back) but when I installed this one, I was anxious to create a family if only so they could adopt a pet. But I am at a loss. Can you import graphics or are you stuck with the ones Sims give you? (Or can I cehck the programming and change it to do that and screw it up for good, lol Or copy it and try that???) Anyway, before I do that, I am hoping someone can explain the basics to me, lol

Ooh I love the Sims 2

I have tried both games (1 & 2) and def prefer 2, it is much prettier and easier. Has a lot more options to it and can downlad furniture from the main site. Nightlife is a lot more fun than University but I found it a bit much time spent in Uni to develop my sims. It took forever to graduate them and what not...just a bit impatient I guess.

CyberKitten ~ I think with the Sims 1 you need to play the basic game for an hour (or 30 min lol) to get a feel for it and then add an expansion and play that for a bit and so on. I think that way you get a better feel for everything and not get frustrated. By uploading graphics what do you mean exactly (having major blonde moment over here
)?
