Jane's plight has been well recorded here.

Jane sweetie, I'm sorry the world failed you twice. First by leaving you to be born under a house, and then by causing the trouble that ultimately lead to your death.

But that's not what I want to think about now.

Even though as a foster your existance in my life was always going to be transient in nature, I will mourn you as one of my own babies.

I will miss your silly long limbs, that made everyone speculate on what kind of a big kitty you would look like.

I will miss your ridiculous mittens that you walked around on.

I will miss your odd-hipped walk, that made me wonder if you had a bit of the nuerological damage your brothers seem to have.

I will miss your sincere eyes, that looked so deeply into my own.

I will miss your demanding meows.

I will miss your sweet purrs when you were held in my lap.

I will miss your amazing spirit, that almost got you through everything.

And my sweet girl, I will miss you just because you were one of my kittens.

I am having your body cremated you will rest under the fern in my garden, never far from my love. but I know your spirit has gone elsewhere already.

This is how I will remember you.

Oh Sara...I am so sorry that Jane lost her battle to live.

No one could have tried harder than you to save her.
She is at the RB now...healthy & playing in the warm sunshine with our kitties who went before her.
My prayer is that someday you will be together again.

RIP sweet Jane.

Sara, I have tears streaming down my face reading this, and reading the news in the other thread. Jane is mourned my many around the world today.

Sweet Jane, your beautiful face endeared you to many people, not just your foster-mommy, although she obviously loved you most. We were pulling so hard for you, sweetheart. I'm sorry the damage was too much. Rest in peace, little girl. You are healthy again at the Bridge. Keep a watchful eye on your brothers, and help your Mommy as she helps more kittens in the future.

Lighting a candle for Jane...

What a pretty cat she was, and she was lucky that she had some love and happiness in her short life and that was all thanks to you.

Dear Sara, I saw this just now in the other thread. I am so sorry that she went to the bridge. I know you loved her very much and I know she knew it too. Now she is pain free, playing at the bridge and someday you will see her again. Sending you cyberhugs during this sad time.

That is so sad - I was following her story too and hoping it would work out well. You did everything you could.

I think there is no avoiding it and I will be
on and off all day.

I know we did everything we could for her. But it still hurts that she didn't get to make it. I wanted it for her so badly.

And selfishly, I'm happy to hear other people are crying and affected by her short life as well. It means a lot to me.

I know there are lots of other Jane's out there right now that still need saving and I want to take a break. I'm going to get Jane's family good homes and then my
needs a little time to heal I think. This is the last group for 2005.

Oh Sara, I am so so sorry for your untimely loss of sweet and beautiful baby Jane. She touched many lives for such a young kitten- her life had so much meaning!

She will now get to enjoy her kittenhood forever at the Rainbow Bridge, free of all pain. I hope you find comfort in that some day. RIP Jane

oh sweet Jane - I am so sorry you lost the battle to continue - you fought so hard little one

As Heidi said - today you are mourned by so many across the globe - we will all fighting for you, but we know now that you are in no pain and you are happy. We will all shed a tear for you today as you pass on to where the butterflies play.

Please watch over your Mom as her heart heals, and when the time comes, help to give her strength so she can carry on helping all the other wonderful kittens... watch over her and help her... she needs you always

sweet angel Jane - may you RIP - you were such a brave brave girl
