My kitten Jasmine, now 4 mo. old, was rescued from a low funds shelter at 8 weeks. She had been there for 1 week when I got her. She had worms, ear mites, fleas, was malnurished/undernurished, and she had an upper respiratory infection at the time. Her nose was runny with yellow mucus, she sneezed alot, her 3rd eyelids were slightly showing and she started developing a cough. The vet prescribed an antibiotic, and little by little she got over it. Now, a couple of months later, she's all healthy and growing real well, she was of course treated for all her problems right away. She's been vaccinated and the whole deal. She tested negative for leukemia and FAIDS, so did the other kitten we got who's been healthy other than ear mites.

The issue is that she continues to sneeze, about 1 time a day. Our other kitten doesn't do that. Sometimes there will be a spray of yellow mucus coming out when she sneezes. That's all. No other signs of illness at all. She's had a couple of poopy accidents, just a small piece, but away from the littlerbox. I doubt this is connected to the sneezes, but am bringing it up in case somebody knows something I don't.

I will be bringing her in to the vet to get her rabies shot soon, so I'll be asking about it then. I'm just wondering if someone would know what this sneezing is all about. It has not gotten worse, it's just that it won't go completely away. She's had it since I got her, only it was really bad right then, and since gotten much better just not 100%. Do you know what could be wrong?

My shelter kitten does the same thing. I took him to the vet yesterday and they said his uri was pretty much cleared up, but the sneezing was due to the virus eroding some of the membranes in his nose. So apparently now he's a chronic sneezer.
