Hey guys...quick question. It might be nothing but a piggy cat, but I wanted to see what you guys thought just in case I was forgetting something here...

Hobbes is quite the piggy cat. He will literally eat ANYTHING you offer him. He's always been this way.

Lately (in the past month), we've been noticing his begging for more food when one of the food bowls would still be full. Could it be possible that Sunny eats out of one bowl, and he eats out of another, and is asking for HIS to be refilled?? Have you guys ever heard of this?

They're both about 1.5yrs old.

Thanks, guys!

my MIL's dearly departed Felix used to "remind" us to refill his bowl. he usually only let it get about half-way down before reminders started. he just had a thing about his bowl being full. he was free fed dry food (only) his whole life. anyways, it was just a quirk of his.

Bailey does the same thing. Two cats, each have one dish for wet food, and one for dry kibble. They do eat out of each other's dish, but generally go to their own first.

Even if her dish has food in it, if the other isn't fulled up "correctly", she will give me a long long lecture about the sad state of food provision in this house. If I take a handful of kibble and put it in one dish, leaving the other empty, she complains. If I take the same amount of kibble, and put half in each dish, she's happy, and goes to eat out of her dish.

My BF forgot to feed our furbles last night, I listened to them meow for about 4 hours before I got up to find half full bowls and 4 cats sitting there looking at them as if to say 'this isn't enough to last the night - where is all the food?'
