Chicken Wings - Raw or Cooked?

Hi

I bought some chicken wings for my cat but I'm not sure whether it is better to give them to him raw or cooked?

Any ideas???

Thanks

If I give my cats chicken I usually boil it in plain water first...not sure about raw though.

If you cook it be sure not to add garlic or onions.

give it to them raw.

many people on this forum will disagree with giving cats raw chicken wings but its common here in Australia. Every vet I have been to has recommended giving it to them to aid in cleaning their teeth. My parents were feeding our cats this when I was young...

Make sure you cut of all the nasty bits though... also good is to give them chicken necks.

Mine get it as a treat whenever I cook a roast chicken (about once every few weeks) and they LOVE it!!

Cooked bones are dangerous, they will become rock hard splinters ! If you're not comfortable with giving them raw, just take the cooked meat off the bone

I give raw chicken wings as a treat pretty regularly. They LOVE to munch on it (they WILL eat the bones, but it's safe as long as they're not cooked!), and I know it's great for their teeth, so I'm happy

I don't know much about feeding raw food, but couldn't raw chicken get them sick? Samonella etc?????
