worms and such...

Hey all. My little fatty (Topanga) has a curious little white thing coming out of her butt. I am going to call the vet tomorrow morning because they are closed now but I wanted to see what you all think about it. She's not acting weird and she's 100% indoor. For months, she's had a bit of a pooched out tummy. Also, she tends not to chew her food when she eats.

I know that this is a 1,000 in one post, but I trust you guys and want to know what you think.

Worms!! She will need to go to the vet to be treated. Depending on the type of worm, she might also need to be treated for fleas too. Please don't use an over the counter med, since they can be harmfull. The sooner you get to the vet the better, worms can cause alot of health problems, and it will be worse down the road. She has tapeworms and she does need to go to the vet. While you are there, ask the vet about safely flea-treating her as well. Then treat her every month with the stuff you get from your vet just to play it safe.
