What's the story behind you meeting your boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife? Do you live together? Are you engaged? Are you married?

When did these things happen in your relationship?

Just curious to hear everyone's love stories!

As for mine...

My husband and I met a couple days before Thanksgiving 2003. We'd found one another at a popular dating site called emode. It was definitely love at first site.

The more I talked to and learned about him, the more I knew he was THE man I'd been looking for. We moved in together the following New Years (2004), and he proposed the following March. We got married this past June 4th, and have never been happier! My daughter, Emily, now has a daddy (she's 5...I had her from a previous relationship), and things are just beautiful.

We originally met at Starbucks, so we say it was "love at first mocha", since that was what both of us ordered.

Our relationship moved quite fast for most people's standards, but it was just the perfect pace for me and my love.

So, please dish!! What's your story?? Let the love flow!!

I met Alex through my friend Bri. She had like a huge crush on him but when they went out it didn't work and she knew I was looking so she sent him my way and well we just connected right away. It was a long-distance relationship though. And right now we are no longer together but still talking.

Travis and I met on an internet dating site in Febuary 2003. Funny thing is we actually became a couple the day after we met. It was so sweet how Trav asked! He asked me what my colotta ring meant and I told him that when the heart is pointed towards you it means your taken but if it's pointed away from you then you are available. Obviously mine said I was available so Trav says "Then how about we turn that right around" and that's what got us started.....
I still smile just thinking about it. I remember the movie we were watching and everything. Then he had to go back to school in Pittsburgh. You all must know how hard that was right after dating someone new

Last year we broke up for 3 months but have been going strong since. And now, about 2 and a half years later, we are currently living together and are talking about marriage. I still have YET to get a good pic of us though

I had just moved here to start my new job and to be closer to my then boyfriend. Things fizzeled after me being here for 6 months and me and my boyfriend broke up. I had known John, as being my co-worker, and he started out as a good friend, who I had been attracted to
When I was going thru the breakup, he was always there for me. He started out by bringing me hot chocolate to work every morning and then we started dating 2 months after me and my then boyfriend broke up!

After we were dating only 1 short month, he gave me a 1/2 carat diamond ring and I knew he was the one for me! He's the best thing thats ever happend to me, we now live together and have our baby kitty Harley together!

Funny how new love comes up right behind you when you're least expecting it! (Especially when you're in a current relationship!)

Whats really funny is that ALL the women in my family (aunts, mom) have fallen in love very quickly with all of their husbands, and gotten married in 1 years time or less, all have been happily married for over 25 years!!
Looks like I'm following right in their footsteps!!

I met my current girlfriend at my friends birthday party. My girlfriend Tracy is my best buddies cousin. Anyway at that time I was with another girl. However when I first seen Tracy I was mesmirized by her beautiful eyes and smile. We were staring at each other the whole time at the party. The irony is when the girl I was seeing at the time and I were at this party we were on the downfall of our relationship. So we broke up I would say around 2 months after this party.

Then for about 3 months I drowned myself in my work. But after a while my friend immediately suggested his cousin (Tracy). He told me she was attracted to me and asked about a few times. He told me she was a flower nut and set me up on a date.

Believe sparks flew on our first date and seeing each after the first date, we both could not stop grabbing each other, kissing, fondling and so on...

Just wish I asked her out alot sooner. But that my story.

Years ago...when John was 16 and I was 17 we met and became fast friends...we did everything together...we talked on the phone for hours.......we went to different school, but we would write notes during class to give eachother after school........

One day i got a note from him, after handing it to me, he said he had to go...The note talked about how he liked me more than a friend....it kinda freaked me out....not because he liked me...but because i liked him back..........

well being the foolI was and being all afraid of losing our outstanding friendship..I told him I didnt want to go out with anyone....he accepted that gracefully and out friendship progressed........

The friendship was the same except everytime he dropped me off at home he would ask for a kiss...and i would always comply with a peck on the cheek.

well new years eve '98-99' we had plans to hang out...we got our liquor from a friends older brother....(note: Bridget does not condone the drinking of minors
) Anyhoo I told him we had so much liquor i might end up kissing him tonight, and he said "Don't kiss me unless you mean it".......well that night we kissed quite a few times,we got a huge blanket and cuddled on my friends bed and he held my hand the whole night......so cute

Well after that night i was still chicken, but john..poor john was real nice about it....he kept saying...."if were meant to be were meant to be"

on the 15th of january I couldnt take it anymore...I realized i wanted more than anything to be with John...I told him i had something to ask him, but everytime I went to do it it started shaking and i would chicken out.....we took a long drive and finally ended up back at my house........I was so flushed and nervous.........He kept saying.."its ok whatever it is its ok"...so i took a deep breath...and at 11:21 pm on 1/15/99 I asked him out......he got the happiest look on his face and he said "Yes"...phew........

Nearly 7 years later we are still madly in love and going strong....................

We are not married yet....but we are basically engaed...no ring to make it official...but we have known marrige was in the cards for us for years...but we have lived together since i was 19 and he was 18...........

and thats my
story..........

I met my hubby at work. It was NOT love at first sight.

At the time we first met, I was trying to get out of a really bad relationship. I was in no sort of mood to deal with men. I had heard through the office grapevine that this guy was a womanizer, and everything he ever said to me tended to come off like a sexist pig. I couldn't stand him.

Fast forward several months...I had gotten out of the bad relationship and had a few months to start recovering. I was assigned to work on a project with the sexist pig. Through that project, I got to know him a lot better, and found out he wasn't so bad after all. (But he was several years older, divorced with a kid, and living with his parents, so I still didn't think he was a prize.)

When he invited me to go out for a drink one night, I agreed. I was meeting some friends later and needed to kill some time anyway. We had a great time and laughed for two hours straight. When it was time for me to go meet my friends, he walked me to my car and kissed me right out of the blue! Then he just said goodnight and left. I was totally thrown off balance.

He called me at work on Monday and asked for a date. I agreed for Saturday night. But when Saturday rolled around I had had the WORST day and tried to cancel, but by the time I called him he had left already. So I went. It was one of the best nights of my life, and at the end we sat outside my apartment talking all night.

We moved in together about a year later, and lived together for 10 years with no intention of ever getting married. Then he asked me. It took him a few months to talk me into it, but we finally got married on the 12th anniversary of the first date I almost didn't go on.

That sounds nice. Sorry things didn't work out between you two, though it's nice to still have that friendship.

Very nice story...

Funny, I met my husband while I was dating another guy, too. It IS funny how love sneaks up on you and bites ya in the butt! The good thing is that my dating relationship with my then-bf was truly fizzling too, and meeting Danny gave me the courage I'd needed to break it off with my ex. I couldn't let the opportunity of true love pass me by!

That's so sweet how there he was for you. Danny was, too.

Also, VERY cute pics of Harley!!

Very nice. It's nice to have that amount of passion in a relationship, isn't it?

Thank you! Thought of it this morning, after one of the other parents pegged us as newlyweds (being often accused of being joined at the hip, even before we were married, it came as no surprise...lol), and asked us our story.

Sparked a nice night, and I've been swooning all day.

We're one of those couples that just can't seem to stand a moment apart. It's so nice to have someone as crazy about me as I am about him!!

Bradley and I met through my little brother's friends. I asked them if they knew any nice, single guys who were my age or older....one of them said, "What about Brad?" The rest is history
.

We've been living together since Feb., are currently looking for a house, and a ring will come any minute!

I met my husband at a tattoo shop (of all places!!). I went with my sister to get her first tattoo and there he was. It was love at first sight. He worked there, so I knew I had a little bit of time to assess the situation. By the time we were ready to leave, he asked if I wanted to go get some coffee together. I went, and we haven't been apart since. A week later he asked me to marry him! We were married two weeks later at the beach. In December, we will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary. I laugh now at the people who put bets on us not making it to our first anniversary!!!! I have no doubt that my husband is my soulmate.

Well our best friends were dating and mine wanted me to go to the bar that night with her. I did not want to go but went anyway. Same thing with his friend and he showed up. We met and became friends first. He predicted our best friends would get married the night they met, and they did. Three weeks later we start dating and he had a temporary TDY so he left for that. His ex, who I thought was my friend, decided she wanted him back (they only dated two weeks and she couldn't stand him being happy with me) and was sending him letters and emails and junk bad mouthing me. I told him if he wanted her back, let me know and he could have her. Then he proposed through a very pretty e-card and told his ex to leave him alone. A few short months later, he left for Korea for a year so when he came home on leave, we got married. A few months later, he stayed in Korea and brought me over. Our best friends have been married one year longer than we have but our Anniversaries are only four days apart. We just celebrated our third Anniversary
