Love this prayer:

Where there is charity and wisdom, there is neither fear nor ignorance.
Where there is patience and humility, there is neither anger nor vexation.
Where there is poverty and joy, there is neither greed nor avarice.
Where there is peace and meditation, there is neither anxiety nor doubt.

I had exactly the same reaction as Ady!

Peace before me
Peace behind me
Peace under my feet
Peace within me
Peace over me
Let all around me be Peace

I was reminded of the prayer last night when I was watching the news conference where China was ducking the question about the captive Bishops. My heart goes out to those men, because even in their faith, they must be quietly terrified to be imprisoned wrongly.

It is a good thing Hissy - I love church music. I am a singer & have co-directed a children's church choir in the past.

I used to lead worship music for a home bible study, I was in the vocal group for the folk mass at the local church, and I was learning to plan the music liturgy. I can't help thinking of all those songs, it doesn't take much!

St. Augustine said, he who sings prays twice. If my little songs bring any relief to those men, that's sufficient. God hears me even if they don't. And God knows the intention. Or is that totally strange, to find yourself praying but you don't know what for, and you find out later what it was about?
