Should I get another cat?

Hi everyone,
I am new to this board too.I got a cat this may. So she is been with me for a while. I am thinking about getting another cat for her as a playmate. However, I am afraid too because she is my princess and I am scared that she will change. She is already two years old, so would you suggest another "older" cat or a kitten?
