Poor Ares
. If it's not one thing it's another. Here's hoping it resolves successfully.

Kellie had a whacking great ulcer on one eye once (not unusual in Pekes, although I called that one my fault as I wasn't checking her eyes often enough,) but after a couple of weeks of thrice daily eye ointment it had healed up. It did leave a scar on her cornea however.

I wonder if this may have had something to do with the URI he had even though he's been over that for a while?

I hope Ares gets better soon
I am glad that he is not letting his sight impairment interfere with his play

But we shall see what i decide on that aspect. most important it wats best for Ares
I am sorry to see this thread late, and I admit I haven't read all of it, just up to this one...I am happy to see you are off to a veterinary opthamologist. The one we've taken Tyler to (and years ago Miss Mervat) is awesome. I know that without the visits to her, we would not have cleared up Tyler's eye, or found the answer to what was wrong. We dealt with several conditions (with Tyler it is not one thing at a time) including uveitis, corneal ulcer and a hemorhage plus retinal detachment (secondary to high bp found after the fact).
I know you have the dedication to do whatever you need to to help Ares get this cleared up...keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well from here on out.

thanks for all the support everyone. Ares is doing just fine. cuddley as ever! hateing his eye treatments but we have told him its for the best. the eye fellow gave us a so so prognosis. he said its not the worst he has seen but not the best. he was helpfull in explaining more about it however. and told us not to despair.

He was smitten with the little guy. Just smitten
and even asked when we had some kittens to contact him *tehehe* hes still playfull and getting into everything.

I was painting this afternoon..and guess who walked through the paint pan? AGAIN!

Awww, well at least he feels good enough to play. I will keep the prayers coming, the vet isn't the only one who is smitten with him!
