Do you catch your self talking about TCS outside of your home

Guilty here, as well. My friend in Australia finally tired of me talking about it and joined. Hubby has gotten used to many of our discussions being issues regarding TCS. I also have been known to direct fellow cat fanatics this way! Hey, when you find a good thing, you just have to share!

Yes, sort of...to friends I'll talk about it a little, and I talk about it with my hubby, but I try not to seem like a crazy cat lady!

I have an urge to but I always refrain from it.

I do that too. Not to randome people though. Just family and friends. I often start sentences with, "I was reading on the catsite..." or "we were discussing on the catsite"....
At first I noticed the funny looks, but i think for the most part, the people i am usually talking to about it, just brush it off and think, 'okay, she has no life'. I dont even notice anymore when I say it.

Oh, yes! I do love to recommend TCS ! My grandson really enjoys it, too! I've even seen someone join, who'd heard me talk about TCS! This truly is the best forum that I know of!

I only discuss with family and my best friend, really. Then I have to say "You know I talked to "XXXXX" today, she's one of my CAT FRIENDS...." Sad that I have to say cat friends but I don't know how else to say it Yesterday, hubby was getting horribly annoyed because he was trying to watch TV and I was rolling over with laughter about something on the site. He kept asking what was so funny, but I just kept saying "Nothing "

Oh, yes, but only to the other crazy cat ladies.

Actually, we had 8 kittens, and in their "baby books" I gave to the adopters, along with photos, weights, interesting facts, and vaccination records...

I tell everyone about it, TCS is GREAT!! People look at me a little weird, but I just admit it, before they say it..............yes I am the "Crazy Naked Cat Woman"!!!

yup. I always talk about thecatsite. To my mom, to my friends, they think I am silly, but one of my friends says that I know more about cats than anyone she knows. My neighbors have even come over to ask me questions.

I dont think there is anything wrong with being known as the crazy cat lady Susan, in fact its my goal! When you look at your cats all cuddled up sleeping with a smile on their faces you want to be sure you can do everything for them you can, and with a great place like this, you learn, but you also make great friends in the process.

Oh yes - I do catch myself sometimes. It's embarrassing but kind of cool as well!!

I definitely talk about my favorite website to my family and friends.

When I was new here my daughter (grown) were discussing some political issue and I said the smartest ideas I read are on the cat site! she answered
what's strange about that, did you think people who liked cats weren't smart?

I also try to get the people that adopt my fosters to come the the cat site and continue posting in their cat's voices on the Paws and Reflect Threads!

I put The Cat Site info on my Virtual Tourist page, cuz you guys are all so helpful & this place is a savior for everything cat-related! You all are honest, diverse, ONLINE (some boards & forums are sleeeeepy and dead)... and well this place is a FUN place to "hang out".

I also told my Vet about y'all, actually before I call the Vet to make an appt (for something not-serious), I come here first and get opinions from other cat people.

A guy I work with has four cats and I forwarded him a link to this site, but I don't think he's visited yet!

Yep, this is a very lively forum! Makes it more fun. My other forum got shut down 'cos of trolling and ridiculous behaviour. I just want to say that I think this site is very well moderated!

Yup. I call it "the cat forum."
Like: "someone one the cat forum said..." or "people on the cat forum..."

Everyone I know knows what the cat forum is, but they've never been here and probably never will.

Of course I do. Other than our kitties, what else is there to talk about?
