OK, as some of you know my Jordan is quite the little charicter. He likes the smell of bleach which is easy enough to solve, I just don't use bleach. However, he also likes tape. I have to hide any kind of clear tape or he will chew on it. This is really only a problem when I use my box fan that he broke. Basicly it works fine, but he broke several of the slats out which makes it dangerous. So I tried to tape it closed with pakaging tape. Well I heard this weird sound & Jodan comes running happy as can be carrying his prize, that's right the tape. Is it just my cat, or do other cats like tape. He also love the soap around the razor on the shick intuition razor blades. Basicly I know this cause after I shave he follows me around trying to lick & bite my legs like they are covered in cat nip. Also, I just want to know if anyone else has to keep milk rings away from their cats? Jodan (& Levi & Isaac) likes to eat milk rings. He is usually the best about just playing with them, but he too has taken to eating them. So they don't get them. I just swear that I'm the only person on earth that can not give their cats milk rings. Oh how boring my life would be with out my cats.

I think this is a common problem. One of my cats is fascinated by sticky tape (which makes Sticky Paws a useless deterrent for him
.) I think you just have to resolve to keep all of these things put away where he can't get at them.

When she was an itty-bitty kitten my Lucy watched me put up the Sticky Paws and then promptly took them down. A year later when we got Carly, I tried the Sticky Paws again to stop Carly and Lucy soon came running through the kitchen with her prize, a wad of Sticky Paws.

She will pull tape off of shipping boxes.

The funniest was the story my husband told me. He was putting up masking tape around a built-in bench he was painting. Just as he was finishing Lucy started pulling the tape off at the other end.

My 8-year-old girl, Pete Pete, LOVES tape. She doesn't eat it, though...she sticks her nose to it! I ave no idea what the attraction might be. Her littermate, Pants, eats fleece. His favorite toy used to be the 6-foot long, rainbow Cat Charmer (made out of fleece) until he began soaking it in his water dish and eating it, bit by bit. No more of those in our household! He also loves to chew on and eat wood, which we prevent using a bitter apple spray (thank heavens he doesn't like THAT). It's just amazing what our babies find appealing, eh?

my babies are interested in tape... they will sniff at it and paw at it then freak out when it gets stuck to their feet. they dont' try to eat it that i've seen! Sparky likes to lick my feet when i get out of the shower, but i think it's just for the water... not the soap because if i try to sit and watch tv with wet hair, he'll chew on it...
Both my cats love to play with milk rings, and hair ties, and pennies, and anything else that they can bat around a linolium floor... never had a problem with them eating any of it though...

Mine don't like the tape, they want to eat the plastic off of bags and the plastic that comes in packages.

The way I see it is that with alot of cats you have to treat them just like toddlers and kittyproof everything. My cat Reilly is like a vacuum cleaner with fur..if anything lands on the floor he will eat it (his own hair, wood, plastic) cats sure do make life interesting!

One of our cats like to eat tape also. She also tries to eat pictures. Like kodak pictures that you take with your camera. She likes to lick them.

LOL!! Our kitties also love tape. Each time we've moved, they go nuts taking the very tip (which is usually not so well attached to the box) in their mouths, and just pulling the whole strip off. I've spied them eating it, too. YUCK...LOL!!

Yes, ours also LOVE to get a hold of milk rings. I haven't spied them trying to eat them, persay, but they DO love to play with them.

As far as soap...I haven't noticed them going particularly nuts about it, though they DO love doing the rubbing-all-over-the-legs-to-reestablish-their-scent-on-me after my shower thing.

I think they are the perforated rings that come off of milk caps when you open a new bottle of milk. All of mine end up under the refrigerator.
