Hello first off thanks for this wonderful site! I'm new here but it's soo nice to be with other cat lovers. I did find this site on a quest though. First of all,we just got a new kitten and I'm curious if anyone may know what breed or part breed she may be. She was in very rough shape when we got her, but she is white, long haired with a normal face (not flat ((sorry my only descriptive word for it)) like a persian) but her ears really get me. The tips curl up and back I have never seen that before! also they have reallllly long hair tufts out of them. She also has one blue one green eye. If anyone knows if she has a predominant breed please let me know. It's not that important I'm getting her spayed but I'm curious. She is my beauty project, she was dragged by a dog (her tail is hairless right now) and flea bitten almost to death, but doing better since I got my hands on her. Very sweet personality and quite the looker all cleaned up. Oh and she has no name yet so any suggestions? I'm contemplating angel...

The other is please please..... My daughter's cat is having her second litter soon (I didn't get her spayed quick enough)... her first litter had only 2 kittens who died looking very healthy, fat with shiny coats, I called the vet to find out why, but without an autopsy they said they couldn't tell me
However, there are a lot inbred cats here, so genetics may be part of it. So since I couldn't save the last litter please any and all advice on pregnant, nursing, and growing kittens would be wonderful thanks again!

Thanks captiva, I will look up the breed and see if she looks close and get back with them. I don't know anything about her father just her mom is a mix from nextdoor. The neighbor feeds all the strays and gives them away to whoever wants them but I had to have this one, she needed me!

I looked up american curl, and of course
you were right.... Definately not show quality (she's a mix anyhow) but pet quality curls.... now I just need to know if I should watch for health problems or anything. I just don't see how we came up with this one... to my knowledge there are no curly eared cats running around here haha. Must be a recessive gene she got or something.......oh well she is going to be beautiful AND unique And have a perfect personality, I consider myself very lucky.

As unique as she is...I do hope you plan to have her spayed and please keep her indoors only until she is spayed.

Sounds like it would be a great opportunity to contact a local group and have these cats fixed. My suggestion would be to contact one of the groups below and see if they can help:

When I named my boy...it was because of his bouncy personality..thus, he is "Tigger" as Tiggers are wonderful things.

Awww.

Hi, welcome to TCS!

Angel is a nice name. Maybe Aquamarine for her different eye colors. Although that is kinda of long. Hope you find one you like!
