Hello everyone!

We just picked up our kitty, Gus, 3 weeks ago. I've been doing a lot of searching both on this site and around the internet. I finally decided to join. Gus is about 12 weeks old, and a little over 1 lbs. I just got him home from the vet. He had tapeworms The vet treated him for the tapeworms, roundworms, and got a FVRCP vaccination. Needless to say, he is not his normal self. He's been curled up in my lap since we got back (3 hrs ago). I feel so bad for him, I know he's in a bit of a shock now. Anyways, I just thought I'd finally drop in, and say, "hi".

First of all welcome to TCS .....and congrats on your new family member gus ....

as for his behavior...it sounds like he had a rough go at the vet, ecspecially being his first time......

with the deworming, stress of a vet visit and possible reaction to the innoculation this behavior can be concidered normal....but if he doesnt perk upin the next 24hrs i would give your vet a call....

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have so many pictures of him. I made it a point to take lots of pictures of him while he's young. They're only young once, right?! I just loaded them up. Here's some pics of the mischievous brat.

I've been watching him. He's eaten and drank a few times since he's been back. A little after I came back, I put him down for a bit so I can eat. He sometimes hides under the furniture. As I finished making my food, he did his normal routine of running out of his spot, running towards the kitchen, and whining for food. So, hopefully that's a good sign.
