So my little guys are just about 5 months now.. and right now Tobias has a tooth and i know they lose them but it is sticking straight out!!! like it is pushing his little lip up.. and i dont know if he is uncomfortable or what to do!! he wont really let me look at it but he has like a snaggle tooth.. will it just fall out? how many teeth do they lose? he seems to be eating fine but it looks so sad!

When my cats were kittens they ended up having 2 sets of teeth at the same time. One set of teeth were pushed forward and seemed to be sticking in their lips. They still ate fine and eventually they dissapeared and were left with the one set. I kept expecting to find teeth laying around the house but they just disapeared, so i'm guessing they swallowed them.

Cats are like children and will loose all of their baby teeth.

I believe that being 5 months of ages he should have lost the tooth already. My cat is just 6 months old, and I just noticed he has two canines on each side, according to the vet they should have been gone already, so they'll have to be pulled.

Are you sure you just haven't noticed? The only reason I noticed was that for a few days Rocky had two teeth. I looked again and it was gone.

5 months is when most kittens lose their baby teeth. It's normal for the adult teeth to come in before the deciduous teeth have completely fallen out, even though the kitten can look pretty goofy during this time. Give it a few weeks and call the vet if the tooth does not seem to be moving or if it seems painful.

Also, if your cat has not been spayed/neutered yet, presumably he has an appointment to have this done in the next month. The vet will probably check his mouth at this time as a matter of routine and can be expected to pull any extra baby teeth while your cat is under anesthesia.
