I just started using the clumping kind of litter, the cheap kind just to see if I like it.. And I Do!!

I wanted to ask first before buying something expensive that didnt work. I'd like to know what name brands out there that are good, I want to keep using the clumping litter but dont know what is a good brand. I have 5 cats and I need something good

I would also be interested to hear these answers. Right now I'm using TidyCats Small Spaces. I thought it worked great at first, but now that Marlee is getting a little more "enthusiastic" when covering her business and playing around in the litter, the clumps don't hold together too well. So maybe I'll hear of something better. What have you used so far?

i just use regular tidy cats-- yellow tub with blue lid-- not sure on the formulation if its antibacterial or what-- i know its not small spaces tidy cats though-- that has a orange lid. I like what ive been using-- i did buy the sams club scoopable litter once and i couldnt wait to get rid of that stinky stuff. I tried arm and hammer and liked it ok but i dont like the cardboard boxes it comes in-- and i tried another jug kind that i found in walmart-- and it was horrible-- i ended up returning the unused portion to walmart. i cant remember the name though-- it was super dusty and had a horrible scent to it. I couldnt breathe when i poured some out into a just cleaned litter box. ughhh. I think illstick with my tidy cats-- im wanting to try the scoopable feline pine in the purple bags but im not quite that brave yet. may just have to put some in a seperate litter box for PB.

I think it all really depends on what you want in a cat litter. Everyone is going to give you a different opinion.

All I tried was just the Wal-Mart brand and just like "amitya" said it's HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

I just wanted something with a light fresh smell and great clumping!

The Wal-Mart brand didnt clump at all, the clumps went into a billion pieces, leaving me to dig for more buried treasures

I just finished a box of Tidy Cats Scoop. It works very well- but you do have to give the poop and the pee clumps maybe 15 minutes to completely harden so you can scoop it out. Pouncer did well with it.

My dad bought a new kind- Arm and Hammer Multiple Cat Clumping Litter- and Pouncer seems to be fine with that too. However, I like Tidy Cats better- it's not as dusty.

HI haven't posted in ages, not that I did so much befor. I have used scoop away cat litter from Sams club and it seems to work very well. A little dusty, but that seems to be the case for most of them. It holds together and leaves dry litter when you scoop it. Also comes in handy plastic tubs that can be reused. ( How ever they will take over you home if you don't seperate them
)

We've been using World's Best and found it best for not being dusty and it clumps beautifully. The best part is that the "dirties" can be flushed without fear of clogging toilets.

We were using Swheat Scoop for awhile but it was just too dusty.

I really like World's Best, it is a little expensive, but it works wonderfully for me and my crew.

You might want to ask the store where you shop if they can get World's Best.

I live in a small town and the local pet store didn't carry it although the lady had heard of it. Now they order the large bag for me, call me when it comes in and put it aside for me. We actually find it lasts longer than the cheaper litter so ends up not being any more expensive in the long run.

It's called World's Best Cat Litter and it is made from corn.

I will opint out that WBCL douesn't have any perfume, so if you prefer an odour you may try nature's miracle, which is similar(the clumps are nto nearly so nice though, but I work around that by mixing them.

you can also order it online... that's what i did. but i didn't like it because it didn't seem to control the odor as well... also, the cat disliked it - they tended to use whichever box had the least percentage of WBCL

After hearing a number of people here talking about World's Best, I finally gave in and tried some. (One of my cats has asthma, and clay-based litter aggravates it, so a natural litter is essential in our house.)

I have to say, I was amazed. It's really great stuff. We've been using it for several months now.

You can look on their Website, and right on their home page there's a spot to click to find a retailer. Just put in your zip code, and it will search for the closest place to you that carries it.

I have a multitude of opinions on this.
So far, the only 4 brands I will buy again are tidy cats- ANYTHING BUT small spaces, fresh step, Arm & Hammer (except easy flush) and Petsmart exiquiscat.
I like tidy cats but it doesn't clump as well as the others- BUT it is the least dusty. Arm & Hammer clumps the best but is kind of dusty.Fresh step is really dusty and leaves its smell on stuff by the cat box, but it clumps okay and covers smells nicely. Exquisitcat scoop is okay so far- my husband has been scooping lately so I don't know if it is better or worse. It seems to be like tidy cats but a little dustier. I buy whatever is either on sale or I have a coupon for. I usually use A & H or Freshstep as a base and add Tidy cats as filler.
So far I have tried Cat's pride scoop- it is wicked dusty and doesn't work that well, and scooop away. Scoop away didn't work as well as the others.
Sweat scoop was a little too mushy for my taste and I kept thinking of oatmeal. I haven't tried worlds best but since my kitties are happy I don't think its worth the money for me right now.

I used to use Arm & Hammer, but I found that it's very thick and the clumps broke apart while I was scooping. I've just switched to Fresh Step, and my cats and I to like it better. However, it's kind of dusty, and leaves a lot more outside the box. It does smell pretty good, though
